Well I proudly have a sexy white beast sitting on my drive, and she is sooooo much fun. In fact so much so I am going back out in her now. Thank all for your comments, I think the DCT and I are going to get on fine. I can't believe the low down torque the car has, and how fast it is. One word Amazing

excellent :)

pics asap

...Twisty, narrow, tree lined roads where you're upshifting and d'shifting rapidly becomes addicting. Upshifting hard through the gears with the paddles is a flick of the fingers and gives you a very solid grip on the wheel rather than shifting with one hand, griping the wheel with the other, while the 35is releases the Kracken!

As others have said, in the end you gotta go with what works for you.
Hopefully you will have the opportunity to get introduced to the DCT, but again, people who haven't spent considerable time with a DCT may steer you away.
I really like mine.

Thank you for the excellent feedback I will let you know how I get on.

I feel like those who have little or no experience living with a DCT Z4 are doing those who inquire about it a serious disservice with the sort of advice based on stubborn, old school, "Not a sports car without a MT" opinion.
Trust that you can experience the same thrill going through the DCT gears...maybe more, than a manual trans without all of the gyrations and physical elements required.

Well, I for one have all three boxes in my cars right now. DCT, Manual and full Auto with flappy panels and drive all equal amount of miles per year so my experience and opinion is from first hand experience of what I like ...

Agreed.....plus some of us whose cars are also their DD you get the added practicality of an Auto for town driving with the option to chuck it into Sports+ and use the paddles for a bit of fun.

As 99% of my driving is in Town I'll never own a MT again and the DCT is certainly streets ahead better than any normal Auto I've driven.

Ooopppssss......sorry for the double post.

Looks fantastic Sharon, while I prefer 296 alloys, for some reason 326's look better on white E89's, weird. Cracking motor, enjoy.
