Ahhhh well good question Ed....honestly the mapped 35i is a bit crackers.... :lol: soooooo much shove, lord knows what the 400bhp + boys on here cars are like.....out the box mad I should think.... :lol: From the loan M40i I had it’s got the shove of the 35i but much more control and well mannered, a chassis far and away better than the 35i even with M3 arms, updated anti roll bar, and KWV3 coil overs. I’ve kept the revs to 4K max on the new car but that’s enough to make it dig in round some twistys up here in Derbyshire, it’ll kill an E89 full stop, so it should really. The 35i is a hell of a lot of fun though, manual box and I can’t help love the E89....flawed in lots of ways but still something quite special.
Looks well mate, can't wait to get over and take a look at it and have a catch up

From the outside looking in, why would a G29 owner want to contribute to a forum that’s dominated by a few members who love to tell people how much they don’t like the car that they drive?
I personally do not see the value in threads like this. Forums don’t grow and survive just based on noise. There needs to be meaningful discussion.
This thread could have been ‘has anyone noticed that the seat colours have changed?’, but instead the OP is banging the same old drum to justify why he didn’t end up buying a car that many of us love and enjoy.
How about we change the tone here and be a bit more positive and inclusive? Or should I come onto the E89 forum and say how lucky I am that I no longer own one?

I can see where you're coming from,and this forum has gone a bit toxic in recent years,more so since covid hit unfortunately.
The problem with having too much time on some people's hands.....just look at the Jab thread. Innocent thread posted by pvr, but has descended into a certain few people banging on and on constantly about what they believe to be the Truth, and ramming it down our throats constantly ,if anyone dare disagree.
My point being,like the jab thread the op didn't expect that to go how it has..
I don't think john-e89 intended this thread to go the way it has.
Proof being in the pudding,as he went out and bought a G29 z4.
It was merely an observation that shades in cognac colour seem to have changed.
A bit like the 2 different shades in Imola red leather in earlier cars that there seemed to be,if I remember correctly.
Anyway,I love the Black and red combo John,good choice.
Some colours just work so well together.....Black and Red,Black and Tan, Blue and Champagne,White and Coral Red, etc etc.
Glad the business is going so well John.
Bet you can't wait to get out to drive it.
Byron gets nothing but great reviews,pity he wasn't closer to me ,for when the time comes for me to get mine painted,detailed and some ppf on it.
Hopefully get to see your new zin the flesh sometime, John (and yourself).

Would you just read your post again and tell me exactly where on this whole thread I have a banged a drum justifying about a car I didn’t buy...? Which in fact I HAVE bought and also could you point out in this whole thread where just once I have said I’m not buying one....In your own time....let’s get the basics right first then we can move on....
Also could you find the post where I’ve asked you to leave the forum...? If you bother to read what is written ever, I said if you don’t like being on this thread leave it and go elsewhere ON the forum....does that sound like I’m asking you leave the forum...? What you’ve done by resurrecting this thread is make a quite unnecessary and completely factually incorrect post as you quite clearly have not read the opening post I made at the start, jumped in with zero knowledge and are now desperately trying to put some sort of spin on it making me out to be negative about seat colour, the car, and anything else your head can come up with because you’re WRONG and haven’t the decency, backbone, maturity to admit it.
The opening post was about me changing my mind from Cognac to red and my reasons for that, I see nothing more than general discussion in that which what a forum is all about no..? Why you, and Tomscott agreeing to your incorrect post have decided to say im against the G29 is beyond me....I have one remember.....as I said please find where I have done on this whole thread. By the nature of your post having an completely incorrect pop at me I responded in the same manner.....sorry you don’t like that but if you dish it out you have to expect it back.
I’ll await your evidence of me banging my drum about not liking the G29 on this thread that you’ve accused me of.
