I'd like to hear some opinions from those pro-badgers as to the reasons behind badging up.

The word on the street is that it adds an extra 10bhp and upgrades the status of said pro-badger from Pauper to Hero.

10bhp? Is that per badge?

I'm going in for 10 then...

Now now. . .I fell in love with the looks of my zed in the showroom. The salesman assured me it was an M spec car and had M sport suspension seats and steering wheel. It had M badges side and rear. At the time I was pleased it was only a two litre four pot - cheaper running costs - jumped in and bought it. Only later found out the significant details!

Nevertheless I have left them on as it does have the M spec which is my justification. Its not what you've got but what you do with it that counts. . .that's my excuse anyway.

Gonna be interesting at the Lakes meet - have to take some ///Masking tape!

8 pages of this rubbish - common guys!!! In the end - SO WHAT! Let people do what they want to do and you do what you want to do! The end. Amen! :headbang:

WHS, and from and M owner (who also correctly went for a coupe!)

:D :driving:

Apparently the secret to life the universe and everything is hidden on a microchip underneath the 'M' badges on genuine 'M' cars.

The thread could have been summarised as this.

"This is NOT an ///M"

"so what"

Well it certainly isn't hidden anywhere on a 3.0 auto

If it was my car, all I'd say is don't take pics and post without deleting my reg number and its my car ,so I do with it as I see fit.

It's only a badge , come on get a life !! :driving:

Doesn't need to be. We already know it. That's why we didn't buy an 'M'. :poke:

As long as when they clone the car, they remember the ///M badge

So i have a 3.0si coupe sport, so i have a ///M badges on my alloys & on my steering wheel (fitted by BMW!!).

Hope the ///M police don't catch up wth me!!!

Keep your feet on the ground ///M boys and girls, 95% of the country couldn't tell the difference between z3 or z4, let alone spec & trim levels!! A bit of perspective please.

On a serious note, putting a ///M badge on could invalidate your insurance if you don't inform you insurance company.

Sounds daft but true, they don't need much to wriggle out of a claim.

I like doing this sort of thing. Makes my car individual.

Used to have an old 328i and put the Nurburgring sticker on just to piss off my M3 CSL owning mate who has actually driven there, had lessons and leant how to drive properly.
Some of us had to settle for being taught by pursuit trained cops and pro racing drivers..

We can't all afford to have an M as a toy or a DD, I have quad pipes and Hamann badges. God knows what type of cock that makes me but it sounds great...

I can recommend a good therapist for the M purists... :)
