arhh man....... my prestine, 2007 10,000 miles z4m supercharged maybe leaving the walker fold........ ive onwed her from a baby back in 2007.... and only ever used it in the dry for the sprint course, various shows and show n shine concourse days........ every sticker from bmw is inplace and preserved in perfect condition............. Its been amazing, i even extended the warranty to cover the non mecanical items due to the mods ive done..............

every service, oil change, brake fluid has been done on the button, this car is AS good as the day i got it fresh from the factory as its only owner, Its NEVER been in for a single warranty rapair item since new, its perfect, The mods ive done have no doubt run into figures i just dont care to add up....... But its made it THE best car ive ever owned......

im really in 2 minds about selling the vehicle which will only be sold in its current form, my HARD work must stay intact, i WILL NEVER split the car and return it to stock. The cars as new condition and sheer awesomeness to behold make this a very tough decision, but im finding i want to do more and more to the car, im spending more and more, i want more power and the car works perfectly as is some things just hit their pinnicle, i cant spend anymore money on this vehicle.........The engine bay is a work of art, i spent months perfecting, moving and clipping everything to the nth degree, when i open the bonnet i love to see peoples reaction, right down to the magnesium composite wheel nuts, its a very special car with careful, modification to make my idea of perfection.

im going to guess this is going to be a huge mistake and i MOST likely wont be able to do it as is my connection with this vehicle, but im seriously considering it.......

so what doe i want im my new TOY?? 500-600bhp STOCK and all the things ive done to my z4m, As stock...... Their comes a point where my spending is getting very close to the cars overall value probably already over it, never mind the months and months of oversea's package ordering and months of research and endless talking to the usa guys.... im kinda stuck, but at the moment im definatly thinking of moving on......... but i dont know, i need more time to deliberate...........

anyhow.... Nissan have finally addressed the issue i had with the 09 gtr, better service intervals, now a birmingham proper dealer, better cooling and well daytona blue...... the very car you see in these pictures is the very car im currently running a deal on...... i was invited to the birmingham launch and i fell in love again........ neadless to say, this vehcile will be wearing be04dub shortly lol..... some pics of my awesome z4m, and the new 11 GTR, i have some serious decisions to make.......... update shortly with my final movements.

p.s anyone considering the ess supercharger... simply DO IT, it has been the Best single modification to any car EVER...... All plus's and no cons, simply breathtaking doesnt decribe the overall package that ess offer. Well done guys, ill never have a problem recommending ess.

am i doing the right thing??? i always seem to have solid buyers asking re the car.... but this last one was an offer that really made me sit and think.

also i MUST mention simpson motorsport who built this car, the ferrari and bmw specialist from glos, these guys are perfectionists, plain and simple.

simple advice needed here guys, i'll never be able to build THAT car again, its been a looonnngg road, one which i couldnt bare to do again.

It's just a car, and the GTR is a huge step up. Sell it, get the GTR, and enjoy it!

IK honestly to me its not just a car, its been a long journey, and @ 10,000 miles and in this condition, its to me a one off, i know this car history, as ALL its history is with me.

Hmm surprising - I have read that the 11 GTR has moved on a fair bit compared to the 09, but presuming you'd have to put how much (say £40k?) to the ///M to get the GTR, makes it a lot to think about?

The GTR always seems too big to me. And the warranty and servicing crap that goes with it, and the monopoly on tyres etc, although I presume that other tyres are available now, not really that well up on the GTR.

Keep the ///M

wondermike, your opinion is GREATLY appreciated :-)

let me give you a run down, from when i had the 09, servicing is now once a year, it can now be serviced in brum compared to liverpool, cooling is upgraded and upper temp limits have been raised to the point where i wont be hitting them unless the thing is abused, which is not something i do to any of my cars.....

Bigger brakes, strut brace, bucket seats and 527hp STOCK........

The size is a huge put off, but thats not something i can change.

again thanks for you opinion.

or the other option is, i can spent 1900gbp, go Ess VT2 and get 500-510bhp......

im more worried about upsetting the balance than anything, but 500bhp in this car would be INSANE!! lol

I know this feeling and I'm plagued by it sometimes. I know I'd regret moving on from the M unless I went up a few grades i.e Lamborghini, 911 GT3 or something similar. After all the work and time you put in getting your car to where it is it would be a shame to sell.

If you did, would you return it to stock and sell the parts? I doubt you'd get what you want for it as it is now. Mind you, I'd be seriously tempted to put in an offer... You've got me started now haha

Ah yeah forgot about the new seats, they are much better.

Why don't you get a 4.10 final drive for a bit more urgency? That and 500bhp would be crazy

i can promise uprgency isnt this car problem, im more worried about sinking more and more, honestly, i MUST be approaching silly number on what ive spent, like i say vt2 is a simple pulley, tune, and new oil cooler away... 1900gbp gets me around 510bhp on 100octane..... im really happy with the stock gearing of the car...... im just looking at these pics, and i just love the thing........ i dont know if the pictures tell you guys what type of enthusiast i am, but im one that litterally spends my waking moments, cleaning and perfecting, im seriously an anorack....

playa i think with these cars we always have to becareful how far we go..... this is the first time i seriously considered this...... im just really unsure......
i 100% agree with you, it could be very easy to jump into a new car and just be flat dissapointed, i hate to do that!! i no for a fact i could make a small fortune taking this back to stock but i would rather loose out and leave it alone as is, ive spent years and thousands and then a few more thousands making this car what it is......... i cant let my hardwork be undone. IF i sell it will only sell as a complete z4m s/c.

I generally ride it out and it passes. I change my mind like the wind changes direction most days so if you're anything like me it will pass! If you do sell I'm sure the car is fettled enough that you will eventually find someone who will take it as-is and gladly pay the going rate. But as you say, you're going to lose out unless you scavenge parts and sell them individually. Just seems a shame to undo all that work, care, love and attention!!! End of the day though they're just cars and we have to remind ourselves of this sometimes.

honestly..... playa, your right. its just a car. In my strange world its alot more than that to me, i dunno, its just alittle bit of me, i went far more than i ever have done with any of my vehicle with this one cus i kinda felt it was special, and it is!! even better on a vehicle ive had since day one, i know how its been treated...... with nothing but love and car, and man has it delivered on the fun frontage!!

i cant lie, VT2-500 is so tempting, the my11 GTR is running serious money now, so ive got to be very very sensible.

the problem is where do we all go after these little fire crackers, let me tell you, your going to have to spend a fortune to match it!! the z4m is right up their with the very best of cars ive own....................................

playa throw on your brakes and truely enjoy your car, with the confidence the APs give you'll be having so much fun you wont believe possible!! you will simply not believe how tirelessly they perform.... and the size of the things in your hands.

it think thats what i love about the z4m more than anything else, take away its breathtaking performance, great looks, fabulous handling, its just great fun. simple FUN.... Bmws last great ///M car imo.

the 1m uses these same piddly brakes, a non ///m engine that is famed for its fragility and know heating issues on the track...... arhh i dunno, ///M for motorsport or ///M for marketing....

the GTS should be my next car but in their infinite wisdom they've priced the car out of reach for me/many ///m enthusiasts at the moment, hell even if i could afford it, i wouldnt spend it.

lol too true Re changing your mind like the wind........ its a car mans worst nightmare, lol!! i torture myself every single night looking throught the p/h classifieds!! ha ha ha infact im doing it now!!

Difficult. Mind you I'd love to have this dilemma :)

Personally, setting aside that a GTR just doesn't appeal to me (I appreciate them, but lets just substitute that for a GT3 for my scenario!), I'd bite the bullet and move on. Move on and upwards. I know your Z4M is more than just a car and there's the personal attachment, but if I was able to do it I'd be keen to experience a lot more cars than I have. You're lucky enough to be in that position. Obviously you've been there already with an older GTR and obviously you feel some connection there too, so I say go for it and don't look back.

That plus sell me your Z4M for a packet of crisps and a mars bar :P

lol great way to put it............ stand up answer to my issue. Ally i Really appreaciate your input.

The GTR was on Fifth Gear 2 weeks ago. Tiff and Jason were driving it on Yas Marina in Abu Dhabi. The GTR is great car and rocket fast. It will beat most Porsche 911 and Ferrari.

But if I had that sort of budget to spend, I would go for used Ferrari or new BMW M5, not on a Japanese supercar (except Lexus LFA :D ).

Do you want to change your Z4M purely for better performance from GTR? Or do you just get bored with the look of Z4M? If I have to choose between 2 cars and money is not in the equation, I would choose the GTR (for both it performance and awesome look).

The car last week on 5th gear was the 10my, the 11 has much more power n supporting mods!! A ferrari is great but for my price range they are slow and twice as much for maintance costs!!!

I will be happy with a used Ferrari 360 F1 (10-year-old car for around £40k), and take it to Ferrari specialist for services, e.g. Verdi. It should keep the running cost down. Although it is slower, but most Ferrari are just so beauiful to look at.

It's odd, but I've seen this a few times with friends... own a car for a while, make a few changes and then 6-9 months of big mods followed by a for sale sign.

Time to sell I think, job well done. Next.

Appreciate the skills, but not a fan of the GTR for a few reasons, but putting that aside I would buy something else if I were you, for the simple fact that you've done it before and how long before you want a change again.

Nice predicament though
