There would have been riots if there was no gas

I found whitehorseenergy very good for logs

Thanks for the info on that site as it may come in handy if our local guy cant get any . He supplies mixed hardwoods which is currently selling at £120 cubic metre but I can see that price rising pretty soon especially if we get a cold snap .

Hopefully the worst of the cold weather is over now south of Manchester anyways :) fingers crossed so will most likely turn the heating off and let the monthly credits build up until next time, that's if we're still around by then

We were quoted 81 ppl last friday if ordering over 1000 ltrs 82 ppl if under 1000 . They would not take payment as they said that the oil was not available until this coming Friday and we would have to pay whatever the price was on that day

Rang them today to get the price to be told 98.8 plus vat and that has apparently come down from earlier in the week . I didn`t go ahead with the order .

Having been without heating for over a week, that is cheaper than the jerrycans I filled

They did say that they are selling on the forecourt if we wanted less but didn`t ask how much it was a litre . Haven`t got any jerrycans anyway

Delivery cost was £75 per order, so a small order would work out expensive.

Thread revival - have ordered oil again to get the tank full before the season starts, price currently at 80p with delivery in 2 weeks following the trend if it goes down during that period.

Don’t want to get caught out, so full oil tank, full propane tanks for the cooking and lots of logs ready for burning and more trees to cut up over the next month.

I think the frost level inside the house is worth taking a punt on the price level versus running out :D
