They were CSL replicas, so if anything same value as the standard 224s.

I am sure reliving the same senario again on the video was probably very unpleasant watching. Here's hoping for a speedy conclusion and a quick find of a suitable replacement car.
As for the car. it will end up at Copart and be broken up by a buyer, so although the vultures hover , you will have to wait until it surfaces at a breakers.![]()

Had them checked out by my indy and they seemed to think they were genuine, as did I. All of the part numbers etched into the wheels also matched the originals. I've seen reps on cars for sale before and on many you can tell the difference.

I know they’re reps as it’s my old car!

Well that's a pleasant surprise! I wish you'd replied to my original thread when I bought it. There's so much I wanted to know about it's history. Did you know anything about it having schrick cams by any chance? The specialist that serviced it last year seemed to think it had, but there was no trace of any paperwork to prove it.

I don’t own a z4 anymore, so rarely come on here. I only came on as a friend showed me the thread.
No I don’t think there were cams in it. I know the car had a long gap in the service history, and it lived in France for a few years. I hardly used it, never really clicked with it, and bought a Coupe.
Thrustyjust said:If it is coming to Greenham Copart , then my neighbour works there, so I may have inside info on it , with its process . I suspect that most vehicles going to Copart end up not going back to the original owner sadly. But its had a nasty time and there maybe undelying problems that haven't been seen currently.

As said before metal can be replaced you can't at least you have walked away.
Thrustyjust said:Spoke to neighbour and shown him the photos and bear in mind they have 4500 cars on site at the moment and move about 200 a day, he has seen lots and says it wont go back to be repaired , almost guaranteed and will be sold through the system . As to if it is repaired and back on the road , will be debatable. Depends on underlying unknown damage. He will watch in come in and advise me on anything that comes to light on it. He has the reg number and has obviously seen the car.
Think i'd be searching the new one out sadly![]()

That's where I got my replacement (49k mile) engine fromalex.baker1989 said:Car is currently at ASM auto recycling in Aylesbury, on an un-manned overflow site. Vultures make note for when it goes to auction or is broken for parts![]()
