See what everyone else wants to do re timings and I'll fit in if I can

I've been messaging RickRob and 7:45AM start looks to be a goer.. Hopefully you can make the trial run. :)

Looking forward to it! :driving:

Are there any cameras in the Hindhead tunnel? I know at the entrance and exit points there are.....average speed ones?

Thanks to Wrs and Flimper for organising this morning. Great drive! :)

To answer Starks question: yes, there are average speed cameras meaning a bit of slowing down and accelerating to get the full "tunnel effect".

I would like to make one very small suggestion on the roads. After Haslemere we went to the end of that road to the T junction and turned right towards Petworth, before we turned left onto the Shillinglee Road. That T junction is notoriously difficult, being on the brow of a hill.

My suggestion is that about mile before the T junction there is a right turn. If you follow that to the end you come out opposite the Shillinglee Road.

I think that is better way with less risk of getting very strung out with many cars between us. Just a thought.

Pics follow. (Windscreen wipers repaired - now to clean the Zed and Discovery.)

Glad you enjoyed the drive Rick. It was good meeting you & Flimper today.

I really appreciate your suggestions & feedback. Ill make sure I change the route to avoid that T junction. Like you say it will give us a better chance of sticking together especially when there is more of us. I am also going to look into different roads on the way back through Guildford as we hit too much traffic.

Wipers repaired and washing both cars... I feel knackered just thinking about doing all of that after such an early start!! I came back, demolished brunch and had a nap for 4 hours  . The early start wasn't easy but well worth it :D !!!

Can't wait to see the professional photos  .. I may invest in a Go Pro & External Mic for the next blast.

here's some pics of our run out today. Interesting that we got the best of each - E85M, E86M and E89 3.5is. I picked the photos that show less of the dirt on mine. I tried a not to be next to Wrs - his car is even more shiny in the metal than it looks here:

Nice photos guys, sounds like you had a good one :) I'll do my best to get to the next one! I'll park next to Rick so my car doesn't look as dirty :poke:

I would have been gutted I missed this (maybe I need a mobile that can get E-mail), but last week the Z4 decided the EML light looked better in amber than extinguished so it's now awaiting a visit to Will at TWG!

So I also need to stay in and start saving up - Eek!

Looks like i missed the party :(

Can i come next time?

There are loads of great roads in Hampshire/West-Berkshire if you are looking for more route ideas. I regularly go motorbiking down in Hampshire/Berkshire with my mate (who has a knack of finding the best roads). Quite far away for car but epic roads.

Mr Tidy your not alone. I simply texted RickRob the plan etc. Sorry to hear about the EML light issue! Fingers crossed Will @ TWG fixes for as little as possible . I took my 3.0si to TWG last year for an oil service before I sold & bought the 35is. Will is a top bloke .

You certainly can... PM me your number and ill add you to the group chat.

Route ideas are very much welcome and with your & your mate's local knowledge I am sure I am not alone in looking forward to your turn of "hosting a hoon." :driving:

Do you think you guys will do something near Hants over Christmas? I'll be trekking down to Soton and will be there from maybe 23rd to 28th and would love to find some good roads in teh places I grew up in! Failing that, Rally will have to show me around!
