The Surrey/Berks/Hants Driving Club

Well the M is SORNed for the winter, so would have to be in the JCW.

I'm in Binfield, down the road from Chris (sorry, I know I still owe you a trip out in the M!)

Thanks for those who have confirmed phone platforms / WhatsApp use etc.

I have never done this before but in excitement of making the club a success I have already planned my turn of "Hosting a Hoon."

Screenshot of the route map attached. Just under 74 miles / 2:19 mins of driving without traffic. In case anyone gets lost directions will be shared with smartphone users via Google Maps ahead of the event and printed out for those who do not have a smartphone or want to use their Sat Nav's instead.

I suggest meeting at Knaphill Sainsbury's to begin with.. time & date to be confirmed for maximum turn out from the club. The route itself offers a variety of roads with a couple of stops along the way.

http://goo.gl/GmYqCu = 1st stop for those who wish to take photos before the cars get too dirty
http://goo.gl/IC2fjI = Halfway (ish) stop, comfort break, another photo opportunity & to compose ourselves after the tunnel run

Potential comms (if needed) during the drive for smartphone users: http://www.voxer.com

I know I know...way too much time on my hands!

I'm not about Saturday. There's a very slim chance of Sunday morning but will let you know if I become available.

Might be able to do Sunday morning but only if an early one

OK great. What time would best work for you? PM me your number and I'll setup the WhatsApp group & share the route

If everyone who has replied to the smartphone list wants to do the same I'll add you to the group chat & text Mr Tidy + RickRob.

I can do Sunday, the earlier the better. Looks a great route - between Loxwood and Plaistow it goes within 500 yards of my house.

This is dependent on it being dry. My driver's side windscreen wiper has popped out of its socket. I've got the clips for the repair job, but probably won't get time tomorrow to do it as we're off to the Cotswolds for the day.

I will PM Flimper and Wrs my mobile number for any text messages.

Here's hoping we get out on Sunday! :)

Hi guys, I'm an Andriod/whatsapp man. I'm working this weekend so sadly I can't join in the fun....

I have to be back in for 11am Sunday so the earlier the better for me

Is 8AM ok? Allows 20 mins for a quick photo at Brookwood & pit stop at Devil's Punch Bowl + 20 mins for getting back to Camberley? If it's cutting too fine for you then I guess 7:30 :o ?

Not any tunnel "At 1,830 metres (1.14 miles; 6,000 feet) in length, the tunnel is the longest non-estuarial road tunnel in the United Kingdom" :driving:
