I was posted by Pbondar but now shows as above - Is it a server/computer glitch?

I have to say that's what I assumed but it has come as a bit of a surprise to be honest.
Pete was an active member who contributed a lot and I hadn't noticed any untoward posts leading up to this.

It came up on the greg81 thread the other day as well. There are two ways an account would be deleted -

1. For bad behaviour, and actually they usually just get banned and not deleted.

2. If we get a request to delete a user account, we firstly make sure that the user is aware that the deletion cannot be undone so if they want to return in the future, they need to register again and would have zero posts.

And if they’re still sure, then it gets toasted.

Maybe he sold his car?

Maybe he sold his car?
And abandoned ship?
Really? That would be a great shame.

So if a user asks for his account to be deleted, does that remove all his posts?
Does that then mean really useful threads end up with big holes in them?
If that is the case then it is a particularly churlish move!
I would never consider doing that as, regardless of the reasons, to suddenly take away that valuable resource from all the other current and future members would be a low blow indeed.

Yeah, all my valuable posts lost. :-)

Posts are always kept (even yours Stevo) we never delete them, and on the forum itself it’s always clear who posted - the ‘Anonymous’ user is only in the PM section of the forum, probably just an anomaly.

The easiest way to leave here is to simply never come back again.

Maybe Peter will be back.

Pete has posted since his profile was deleted.

I have a feeling his car being for sale and a myriad of details about the car on here may be something to do with it! :o I doubt it is a personal thing, he is pretty thick-skinned IME.

I suppose that may explain his departure - still a shame though given how active he was on here organising events, etc. :?

Ok maybe not (I saw some from Saturday). I think Rob has it right, he's on a sabbatical until he off-loads his car; make of that what you will :o

I have been thinking about what happens if a "newbie" posts on here about a highly modified yellow E89 they have seen (which is quite likely being as it is modified); what the f*ck would you say?

I was not the one who found the ad and posted it on here BTW. :D
