Yes seen a couple on the road, very smart, no doubt they'll be a sales success.
Rather have my BMW though. (Not being snotty  )

The rear lights remind me of an Elise a little, nice car but I couldn't deal with the constant hair dresser jibes
Regards

Saw my first one last week, awesome looking car, and dare I say better looking than the Z :o it's kinda like a smaller f type looks wise

Yeh, smaller F-type exactly. Pity it doesn't have the performance, I guess MX5's were never about performance though.
I think its a bit of a 'sheep in wolfs clothing'. I wonder if there are any future plans for a bigger engine to do the looks justice?

Do look great, there are a few companies developing turbo kits for the 2.0 so that should be interesting.

Think the power in the standard cars would bore me too easily.

Yep they do look nice. Saw one coming the other way a week or so back. Must find out if I can fit in the new one. Mrs G loves them. :)

I'm sure I read somewhere Mazda were planning a turbo version but could have been pure speculation, would make sense for them to do it though

We actually ordered the 2.0 Sport Nav in Soul Red 3mths ago for £22.5k from Perrys in Barnsley, gorgeous car in the flesh.
The salesman described it has having the looks of a TVR from the front, Corvette lines from the side and the look of a Zed from the rear, he's not far wrong on all counts there imo.

It drives so so well indeed. Fantastic seating position, nice acceleration coupled with handling that is very impressive indeed.

Unfortunately, or fortunately, depending on how you look at it, we cancelled the order approx 7wks ago and decided to keep the £11250 we were funding it with and the balance on 0% chucky.

As it would be the only car we ran, 2 seats and a miniscule boot were just too impractical for us. Hence why I bought the Z4 as the wife gave me the nod to buy a 'fun car' while she now drives a 65 plate DS3 on a 2yr lease at £115 per month.

Win win all round as I now have a Zed, money in the bank and a car (DS3) that will take cases to the airport and back for our summer hols!!

That salesman was spot on I think

Saw one today in black and it looked fantastic but quite small :o

Had a Mk2 and it never failed to put a smile on my face - fabulous sports car

I'm really liking these cars.

If only it had more power, I hope the rumours of a turbo are true.

Far better looking than the latest Z4 and you won't have to buy an expensive warranty so you can sleep at night.
Earlier Mazda downside was the lack of underbody protection, hope they have improved their reputation on this.

What Zed have you got and how did it compare to the MX5?

55 plate 3.0i SE.

We only test drove the MX5 for 30mins or so but it was a spirited drive.

The Zed sounds a whole lot better than the MX so I'm well happy with our decision to by an 'older' fun car, bank some cash and lease a new car for the wife.

Go test drive one, you'll be surprised at how nimble and quick they are.

Sheep in wolfs clothing as so well put earlier. Light and relatively quick I suppose, good buy 2 yrs off and £10k

I bet it is, but I could'nt live with the lack of power. I traded in my 2.0 Zed for the 3.0si for that reason :driving:
