New Mazda MX5 Hard Top

Really loved my Mk2 MX5 in British Racing Green  This new roof design looks great.

Seeing quite a few of the new design on the road now - they do look tiny :o Quite noticeably small.

I'd wait until Mazda comes up with a new engine before buying the new design though - at least one that was more economical and preferably as free revving and as reliable.

I thought this was lovely and then I saw that back end  I'm not a big fan of the rear on the current roadster either. From the front and the sides

Damn it, I could quite easily swap the M135i in for one of these, one of the best looking main stream maker cars to appear for a long time, looks gorgeous.

As said they are small but I could forsake practicality for those looks.

Looks lovely I think Mazda have absolutely nailed the styling on the new MX5 . I imagine there will be some good performance upgrades as with the previous generation to help with the missing power I remember seeing a few tuning companies offering upgrades.

Thanks for the link Tim - I like it even more now :) But still wouldn't be tempted because its underpowered - I know that's the MX5 'thing' not to go for big outputs, but a car that looks as good as that needs to have a bigger heart.

Yes they're not overly powerful but I've always liked the small and nimble trait in these cars rather than outright power, I really do like it alot. Pity its not out until next year as looking to change the M135i this year, but maybe a second hand one to replace the Z3 would be ideal.
