The moon need to be involved in some manner in the picture.
I would prefer to see pictures that the light source is moon light but in the end those that vote will make the final decision.

My photo has moon light and some street light in the background :)

I think the OP was wondering if light reflecting off a bare bum qualifies..... technically it could

That would be correct 8) :o :o :o Could have some interesting photos this month!

Seems like the theme has slowed entries a little. Looks like those fortunate owners with stacks of great photos haven't been taking too many at night :poke:

Waiting for the full moon, and It's hard to take a photo when you are a werewolf, the claws don't work well on the shutter release.

Yep, think this theme could make May the lowest entry level yet! :P

Takes too much time to get the car in the right spot with the moon out, especially in the UK!

Think if I enter this time it will have to be a photoshop entry!

Get the car in the moonlight, take out the SLR or the toy of your choice. Watch out for the hoodies trying to rob you, or the Police asking silly questions... Is that your car Sir...

:-)

The theme definitely isn't catching on this month, is it.

I think I might go and take a few pics in the moon, any of the pros got any tips? I don't have a tripod.

:camera:

I'm not a pro but recognise that night photography is not easy. Try a high ISO speed and slow shutter but a tripod would be helpful if you go slower than a sixtieth of a second. Also watch out for overexposed moon. As I said, it's not easy!

Not popular is it! The 2 entries are not exactly on the button. One is lit by streetlights, the other is a photoshop day image.

Photographing the moon correctly isn't easy!

Tuesday night (17th) around midnite will be the best time if the sky is clear as it's the full moon. The full Moon of May is known as the Milk Moon, Flower Moon, or Corn Moon.
I may dump that photoshop photo  if the clouds play ball. Tip. Try & find a high spot to position the car & wait for the Moon to rise in the east behind your car, but take the photo from a distance with a telephoto to make the Moon look huge behind your car. Or, how about a reflection of it in the door mirror?

Use http://www.heavens-above.com/skychart.aspx?SL=1&SN=1&lat=53.024&lng=-2.171&loc=Hanley&alt=129&tz=GMT as a great place to find where & when it rises.

Well, using the moonlight only would've been extremely difficult. There was moonlight during my shots but not enough to make good photos. Even with the added streetlight we had to use a pretty extreme exposure time (25 or 30s for this one iirc, and a tripod of course).

If the theme had been "sunset" I guess we'd get hundreds of entries 8) Maybe for next month?
