The M that time forgot :'(

That is terrible what a waste. Hopefully someone picks it up for a bargain price and brings it back upto standard. I think it could end up in a car auction.

that rust is worrying, i have never known rust on a zed

any idea how long this as been stood like this, worrying for anybody who wants to do very little miles a year

Well I don't know, maybe it was rust? Annoyingly I didn't 'prod' it to see, felt a bit weird taking pics of a car at the dealers, got one dodgy look from a sales rep so didn't wanna hang around long!

No idea Taz, as said its about 5 months since I last saw it so might have been there longer and may be there for a lot longer?! So potentially a year of being sat there. But the registration is there for all to see so it might pop up in the future all 'polished' up...

It don't look like rust to me as its attached to the glass as well, a good clean and some new disc and badges and I bet it would look 100% better

Wouldn't want to buy a car off that dealership  A car cover would have saved £££s of work.

Sad to see such a lovely car being neglected.

I wonder if it has even been started in all that time...

Weird thing to notice but I am quite observational, the direction of the front wheels is exactly the same and there's a large branch under the wheel which was there when I first saw it. It looks exactly the same, hasn't moved from its space, so no IMO I don't think it has been moved or started. Everything is probably seized up and in a bad way. But no doubt they'll sell it as AUC...

Not a dealer to ever go anywhere near then, as said above. That's shocking

Yes agree, which is exactly why I take my car to Redish Motorsport Indy and would trust a private forum owned car to purchase rather than pay top $$ for AUC. Obviously there are exceptions to this but Dick Lovett really are Dicks for doing this to an M!

And they have a VIP event this (long) weekend, do all dealers do this? Black curtains across the showroom windows, bodyguards on the door, M3's with 'VIP EVENT' on the plate etc. I got a 'special' invite! Bought a few low cost parts a while back so they had my details from that. Is a bit random though, shame they don't give this M the VIP treatment...

Go to this event and question them in front of other customers about their disgusting lack of care for this car . .

That car is almost identical to mine, even the first part of the number plate is the same.

I think only 17 made in that colour in the M.

What a waste of a very special low volume car!!

Hmmm interesting, not for sale though is it? I suppose that there could be any number of reasons, but a new set of discs, centre caps and a wheel refurb and nobody would be any the wiser.

If you see it again and you get the chance, it would be good if you could ask what the story behind it is, be interesting to find out

Indeed, it's not for sale (currently) but good shout, next time I'm passing I'll do some interrogating...!

Could be a customers car that needed £££ of work that just got left there, wouldn't be the first time and would make sense why it's just been left.

I can't see any customer leaving their car to Rot. If you couldn't afford it, you wouldn't leave it at the dealers.

People who buy Ms generally arnt on the breadline are they!

I've known people with RS4 / RS6's that have taken them to a specialist, get a price and realise there living far to large and eventually the car gets inherited by the garage when they don't pay the bill.

Agree, especially for 5 months. And nothing has been done in that time either. That would just be silly surely?! There was overspray on the rear o/s arch too, paint looked pretty awful and drivers bolster was in terrible condition too. Interstingly the boot was covered in dog hair! And worst of all, no stubby.
