I've tried both the original and ZHP. ZHP wins easily.

Stormwerks one not only looks like a Halfords special, but will also be freezing in winter. I had a puma which has a ball type knob like that (I think it's called a 'chode') and it was truly awful to use in colder weather.

Having actually owned all three, the Storm wins hands down. It looks & feels great, and improves the feel of the gear change. If I wanted an OE look then the ZHP would be OK, but I prefer the improved gear change.

I've used a Storm v1 in both my Z3 & Z4's top down in minus temperatures for at least 5 years and it's perfectly fine in freezing weather. Sure, it's initially cold but soon warms up. Driving at -5 with the roof down you tend to have more pressing concerns like stopping your teeth from chattering...

Personally, and in the interests of disrupting this important thread, I shall be going with one of these.

I know. It's a beaut right...

Storm indeed, due to the weight much nicer to use than a ZHP. Never noticed the cold part though.

Had a storm on my last bmw, did get cold in the winter but I had a 'knob sock' for it
ZHP because of the oem look and improved weight and shortness over original.

I knew this would happen :P
If you want to vote for the illuminated ZHP select 'ZHP' (its the same feel - it just lights up as per photo above  )

When I changed from oe to zhp I weighed them both, the zhp was almost exactly double the weight of the oe version-for this reason as well as the lower height the zhp improves the shifting action

Where's the illuminated knob, MM knob and Alpina knob pics then Marlon ?
Clearly he can't be bothered to do a proper poll :poke:

Yeah, I'm sure if he asked Mat nicely, he'd send a pic of his knob...

I don't have accesses to my pictures at the minute. But of corse I would send you a picture of my knob!!

I am sure Perry will be here shortly, posting gratuitous pictures of monkey knobs. Just to make this poll NSFW.

Not trying to be disruptive  but ....

I have an F10 which is the same as a ZHP. This is the only way to get a brand new illuminated ZHP knob now. I ticked other but maybe shouldn't have. Have I spoiled the poll :? :D
