Personally, and in the interests of disrupting this important thread, I shall be going with one of these.

I know. It's a beaut right...

I guess we can add that one to the Poll and call it the Knob-head! I'll get my coat!
I think its a magnificent knob and should certainly be given due consideration as a viable comtender!

Obviously what passes for an aesthetically pleasing knob is a matter of personal taste, evidently something you're lacking :P :D

Having had all 3 at one time or another since 2003 for me the Stormwerks wins and is what Im using on my ///M Roadster.

I'm guessing your Christmas cards have the silver glitter thing going on and feature robins perched on top of snow capped posts :D

from gearknobs to christmas cards, never saw that coming! :)
Come off it Mack!
How long have you been here??
tsk, even I realise that by page 4 of any given topic that it's going to deviate by a country mile at some point or other!

your right, should have known better!

My main concern at having just bought a ZHP, is how the hell do I remove the standard one!!

I thought it would just twist undone without too much effort but had a go earlier and I was twisting that much, I thought I might damage the lever its attached to- and its not shifted at all!??

Just pull like hell and it'll come off, just be careful not to break your nose in the process!

Its a "open-roof-and-tug-upwards" type of motion, watching out for the requisite punch-in-the-face result. Might want to do a bit of training with one of these first...

Stormwerks for me - I'd love to have the OEM original illuminated one just if I change my mind, but PVR sold it after he sold me the car. Asshole :x

So, what you're saying is you wouldn't mind handling pvr's old knob?

Well he'd barely used it, so I'm pretty sure it would have been relatively unsoiled. Nothing a good dose of tcp couldn't have sorted.

Where's the cheapest place to get the ZHP one from (5 gears)? Seen it on eBay (from cotswoldbmwmini) for £56.99 inc postage - is that good?

Had a zhp in my last zed, loved the feel of it so just fitted a f10 (illuminated zhp) this weekend in my currant car, it just feels right.

This poll is fatally flawed - who's ever going to admit that they've had complaints about their knob, that it's not good enough for the task in hand or that they'd prefer another man's knob??

Just for the record, my wife loves mine :D

I don't think the other halves pay much attention - I swapped mine 4 months ago and she hasn't noticed :|

You obviously should have opted for a much, much larger replacement Marlon
