The Grand Tour Ep1

When they are reviewing cars it's as good as before but as previously commented, they are trying too hard to be funny / crazy. Half of each show is good and the other half not worth watching

Pretty much like old top gear then. It always looked like it could be an excellent 30 minute show.

Just watched Ep 9, on the downside, the "yanker" was there.. On the upside? That new NSX, feckk...

"Drive by wire" brakes - WTF??

Love it..

Enjoyed Episode 9 - had more than a few laughs at the MGD & the 'Excellent' :D
New NSX feature was good too - but gotta echo Ducklakeview: WiFi Brakes - Hells Bells :!:

Just watched up to episode 4 and I don't think it's as good as the old Top Gear.
The three of them definitely work well and their personalities are great, but on the whole it didn't captivate me. I went out to make a cup of tea halfway through and forgot all about it.
My measure is how interested my other half is, we always looked forward to TG on Sundays (pre Chris Evans) and now she spent most of it on her phone.
The old TGs I still enjoy watching but not interested in watching these again, maybe I'll persevere with the rest of the season. On the whole not much substance with a lot of in-fill.

Yea 30 mins is good the rest is rubbish.

The Abarth 124 spider gets an excellent review by Richard Hammond in the latest episode. I’m liking the styling more and more and what a great exhaust note – certainly prefer it to the new MX5, though with only 170 bhp on tap I think fiat are missing a trick.

I thought it sounded well for a little 1.4 four pot! Think it'll struggle with a remap though, 175bhp has got to be near the limit for a 1.4 if it's to remain driveable. Shame they didn't put a 2.0 in it, or even an alfa V6!

I was parking up next to an 52 plate MX5 this morning and it turns out the driver works in the same office. Anyway we got to chatting about our roadsters and he's go the 1.8 which he preferred over the 1.6 he test drove. He asked about mine and couldn't believe it was a 3 litre, he kept repeating back incredulously - 'its a 3 litre!' :D

Looks like there's a Rally version with a 1.8 turbo kicking out 300hp :driving:
