The Grand Tour Ep1

It was like seeing old friends again, I'm so glad they stuck together. It's gonna be my Friday night date for the next couple of weeks. I wonder if there will be a xmas special?

Not like Driving a Zed down a B road, on a crisp winters evening, top down, S54 howling to 8k, hunting down every camber, chest rising and falling with each crest. Moon lighting just enough of the way ahead to keep your terrified brain hunting for the next corner. Now that's real life. :driving:

:D :D :D :D

Excellent, don't think the BBC would have allowed the bit about the "gypsy with insurance"

Anyone watched it yet?

I have, bit of whooping it up at the beginning, but I BLOODY loved it!!!!!

Roll on Ep2!

Mike

Yeah, much along the lines of usual Top Gear stuff, but bigger, better(that will be the big £160million budget, haha)
But liked it alot, good cars and some piss taking out of the BBC etc.

Cars were the main focus..loved the P1, LaFerrari etc and the Mustangs.....and the M2 looks like fun  :driving:

Watched it earlier and absolutely loved it.

So much better now they are away from the BBC.

I do hope Hammond and May knock Clarksons house down haha

Amazon seem to be offering a year for £59 ending tonight. Am I right in thinking you watch it on an iPad, laptop etc?

Yup, or android tablet/phone, smart TV or fire stick..

Mike

Cheers.

I'll get back to you when I've looked up what an android and fire stick are...I really have no idea, I haven't joined the 21st century yet..

If you have a smart TV,just link your Amazon account to your TV,or create an Amazon account first, then you are good to go....no need to buy the fire stick.
Get free 30 day trial or buy for a year at £59 just now :D

Just watched it, thought it was very good. No doubt the Daily Mail will be suitably outraged about a couple of the jokes.
The dead celebrity bit went on for a little too long, but spectacular production values and great cinematography.
I didn't see it myself but apparently Clarkson was interviewed recently and one of the questions he was asked was about why the revamped Top Gear hadn't been as well received as it might have been. His reply was something like 'Watch the end credits, there are cameramen and producers and directors, but no writers, these things don't happen by themselves'.
Cheers, Dave

I'm a patient man. It's just a TV show after all. Not like Driving a Zed down a B road, on a crisp winters evening, top down, S54 howling to 8k, hunting down every camber, chest rising and falling with each crest. £60 for a series of Top Gear seems a bit steep, do you get anything else out of Amazon Prime?

Yes. As well as access to a lot of TV series and movies, you also get free one day delivery on a lot of items.

Amazon are making some cracking original programmes at the mo IMHO.

Family membership as well, so all 4 of us are having next day delivery (free). If you have an e-reader, then (some) free books as well from the library.

Just watched it now. It wouldn't let me view on my iPad though?

I enjoyed it a lot. Loved the humour/chemistry between the three. My only slight gripe was that the format was pretty much identical to their BBC show. I'd have liked to see a few more new ideas format-wise now the shackles are off.
