But, how do you go about figuring out how many of those are UK cars?

The options are:

L812A Länderausführung England / Irland NATIONAL VERSION GREAT BRITAIN
L807A Länderausführung Japan NATIONAL VERSION JAPAN
L810A Länderausführung Australien National version Auatralia

Amongst the England/Irland option cars there are cars listed with option 'S548A Kilometertacho Kilometer-calibrated speedometer'. These cars I am assuming are for southern Ireland

If there isn't a unique version for South Africa, like there was for the 1999-2002 M Coupe, it is possible that one of those groups contains the SA cars (RHD, Kilometer-calibrated speedometer)?
I am trying to find someone in SA with an Z4 M Coupe that will give me their VIN as I have a 2002 M Coupe.

Taz, check that you have taken into account the RHD South African cars. They don't have a destination code, but will be KPH calibrated and include S858A Motor niederverdichtet - Low compression engine.
Examples are LF78791 & LF78540.

But can only get 806 of those English cars:
UK 588
South Africa 218

It's better than mine in that you can select things easier. Not sure about the accuracy of either mine or this database
