The BMW 'Sneeze'

On my third courtesy car from BMW and they have given me the new 'Sneeze'
I have to say i think not only have the designers lost the plot but whoever accepts and approves the designs at BMW.
The new one series (i never liked the old one) is hideous, the front end looks like a wrinkled nose about to sneeze for queen and country. I can imagine all the owners taking on the look of their car and driving round with a permanent pucker. (looking like they've just bit into a lemon - well they bought one).
Not the best picture i'm afraid but i couldn't bear to look at it for too long.

1 series of some sort, was told i was getting a 1MD, the designer needs to see an MD. It is actually a petrol engine. Can't say BMW are doing anything to woo me to stay with them. The front ends of all their new models look awful and i dread the new 3 series even more now. Only one that seems to look decent is the new 6

Ugly ugly ugly ugly ugly ugly ugly ugly ugly ugly ugly ugly....

Dayum ... that is one hideous looking bimmer.

Just in time for Halloween! :sorcerer:

The competitor of this one, the VW Golf is getting nicer and nicer and this one is just getting worse ...

odd that they consistently make the 1 series just fugly. There is even talk of making them front wheel drive; I gues they are aiming far more premium woman market?

I'm sort of ambivalent frankly, I certainly don't find it offensive at all. The awful square-looking lines of the bonnet shut however are a different matter.

Overall it puts me in mind of that not-very-attractive concept roadster thing Chris Bangle did with the 'active bodyshell' - it was covered in some kind of metallised fabric that could change shape.....?

Maybe the new 1-series has the power to morph into something else when you press the button on the dashboard?

Hideously bad!!! The 'sneeze' is a perfect description, it has a really unattractive, piggy snout, massive    from me, very disappointed

You gotta feel for the sales guys, what has the one series got over the Golf, because it certainly isn't looks or value, I mean you would have to be some sort of idiot to buy this car

1. BMW 116D SE @ £20,505
2. VW Golf 1.6 Tdi Match @ £19,295
3. Audi A3 1.6 Tdi Sport @ £19,555

or perhaps Audi A1 1.6 Tdi Sport @ £16,320

Really, you would have to be a complete idiot to pick 1 wouldn't you

I would take the Audi.....

looks like it has the 'X' factor...... but not in a good way,
I hope they don't sell many and BMW finally get a long overdue wake up call in the design department

There was a chuckle at the BMW end of the phone when i commented on having to spend the following week in 'the sneeze'.
I guess they could change the name to the BMW Fugly.
The BMW 'one-der why you would ever buy one'

Slogan
'Joy is - handing the keys back and going home in something else'

If i had to look at a car at that level i guess i would be erring towards the audi, something i never thought i would say :?
