The Best Cars You've Owned

My 740. Loved the V8, the comfort seats, all the toys and simply the quality of auto close and so.

Bit of a step down to my first Z4 in that aspect but wanted something different so got an X5 and a Z4 at more or less the same time.

THATS WHAT IM TALKING ABOUT! PWOORRE!!!

Was at the London motor museum at the weekend and was drooling over a spit screen. One of the best looking american cars ever! Beaut

Was it a stingray? or a relation to it?

like women, you never forget your first

there's a question, have you had more women or more cars?

I think the first car you own has a special place in your heart, I was so lucky to have this at 18 and oh my it was fabulous :D

Being 'quite' young and not loaded my cars were:

Volvo 340 - Given to me as a 17th birthday present. Was awesome, 1.4 rear wheel drive and I turned the windscreen washers sideways to squirt the kids at the nearby private school! This is not a photo of it but gives an idea, ashamed to say I put a k&n on it and full Soundsystem...:

Renault Clio 1.8 8v RSi - My first 'cool' car, the 'girl puller' but mostly taking mates round who couldn't be arsed to drive! Was very quick actually, again pic is not mine...:

2 x Rover 420 GSDi - Change of job meant I needed a diesel and this seemed a good car. It was, but unfortunately I crashed one not realising it didn't handle the same as the Clio so bought another! Had hatchback and saloon, very exciting (not)...again pic is not mine but gives idea:

Citroen Saxo VTS (1.8 16v) - This was an awesome little car, very quick and good fun. Owned from 25k miles to 80k miles. Also sporting my private (illegally!) spaced plate which regrettably I sold for £200 :( :

Skoda Octavia vRS - Saxo was getting a little tired and needed something bigger so went for this. Very understated car, very quick (remapped to 230bhp) and loads of room. Definitely surprised a few 320 M-Sports! Owned from 11k miles to 65k miles...:

BMW Z4 3.0i Roadster - After selling the Skoda to father in law I wanted something more fun and 'silly' before I got too old. Months of research and got this, what a great car, sold to forum member in July:

CURRENT BMW Z4MC - Yearned for a Coupe and an M, had some cash so was a no brainer really, haven't looked back. Really ought to take some new pics, this is when I first got it from Paza so on original plate now:

Stingray. It's interesting that GM was not happy with the designer of the 1963 split window. They agreed to let him have his way for the first year production, but had to go to the single window after that. Some who had the 63 later replaced the two widows with the 1964 version, thinking they were upgrading. They lost about 30% of its value. So I guess the lesson is: Beware of over modifications.

original guvnor, the Plan?

The Plan is mine - it is my happy road to an imola red ///MR

I haven't had many cars, most have been company cars and therefore boring as hell. My Z tops the list

I want to know if citation still has that corvette - it is a thing of beauty

Have had quite a few cars. My favourites are the ones I have kept for several years. In no particular order.

Mk1 Primira 2.0 Great drivers car. Kept it 7 years.

Fiat Coupe 20VT Great Noise. Kept for 9 Years. Bangel Mk1

Z4MR. Great Looking Car. Plan to keep for Several more years. Bangel Mk2 8)

Mazda 323 Sport. Great Handling car. The way I thrash it it won't last that long. :D

My first car when i was 18. Peugeot 205 GTi. I performed many epic stunts in that car. I still dream about it and one day I shall buy another and be buried in it.

In my dreams it is reliable and probably much quicker than it actually was. I don't care though.
