That moment …

I was thinking just some extra strong cling film, both out and and inside, would do the trick.

On a serious note I was surprised how much glass had splintered into the cabin...as it's just above the folding Sat Nav screen. So I'm expecting a "JerryRigEverything folding phone and stones incident"

Yeah. something always falls on my windscreen whenever it has too many rock nicks. It's like a magnet...

The unexplained phenomenon, I tell the insurance ppl... perhaps a raptor dropped a small dog on it...

A question though... Why are you parking the zed in the kitchen? :poke:

Something was bugging me…I hadn’t replied to your poke

Kitchen in the garage is a safer place for my cooking trust me.

FYI genuine accidental damage occurred to my windscreen, timing wasn’t ideal as I’d love to have visited the ZedFest finally, also would like to move it out of the garage to continue some of my retro fit “efforts” … but shards of glass fall out every time I get in it!

Roll on next Monday when the glass company turn (probably with the wrong screen )

but gives me time to work out the other mods I'm trying to do atm
And possibly a re-think on how you store stuff on your ceiling joists? :poke: :D

I was confused why my insurance is more for garaging a car than leaving it on the drive. I can see why now....not much chance of a tent falling out of the sky! A kids' trampoline in windy weather, yes, but a tent highly unlikely! :D

Quality glol I like to complicate life tbh

The tent in question (have a few up there) hadn’t been touched or moved since I moved in over 2 years ago, must be the big f@@koff spiders who moved it!

And yeah once the new screen has been fitted I’ll be popping down the local DIY store for some boarding, purely to stop anything falling through and so i can’t see all the sh@te up there.

I shouldn’t be surprised by this … some things are still hard to get hold of and E89’s are “slightly” rare, but my windscreen replacement has been delayed (no date yet) due to no stock.

Anyone have a recent experience of replacing a windscreen just wondering how long it took to get one … UK based preferably..

That's a shame Charlie - I hope it doesn't take too long to get fitted.

A pity you missed what may be the last Zedfest, but N4LLY and another owner made sure there was a VO presence.

Thanks Mr

Indeed, as you know I tend to decide on the morning to attend something and really wanted to attend especially given it being likely the last one.

Fingers crossed it comes into stock soon I really want to get it out for a drive!!

While you are waiting may I suggest a short holiday? Camping weather ATM......especially as I understand you have a tent to hand. :poke: :D

lol ffs ... should you even be on here any more
Probably not! I am on two BMW forums and don't own any BMWs anymore!

I will wait until I get banned; I'm trying my best!

Small update, there been a delay on finding a windscreen in stock!! Windscreen Co. told me 2 days before the appointment, now re-booked for 1st September…I really hope this weather continues 🙏😭
