That moment …

Yeah. something always falls on my windscreen whenever it has too many rock nicks. It's like a magnet...

The unexplained phenomenon, I tell the insurance ppl... perhaps a raptor dropped a small dog on it...

A question though... Why are you parking the zed in the kitchen? :poke:

Well you may not appreciate this thought, but better it dropped on the windscreen than the roof or bonnet.

Well tbh it’s the original screen so 10 years of stone chips I was thinking a few weeks back it would be great if …

As they say, be careful what you wish for  :tumbleweed:

Trust the forum to turn misery into an amusing thread.

Hope it's fixed quick and you can get on enjoying the wonderful british weather.

That was my exact thoughts - I know a tent is heavy but how the hell does it cause that amount of damage, would assume its normally a impact on a small point to smash a screen

In hindsight as mentioned kind of glad it's only the glass that's damaged, did want a new screen tbh at some point.

The tent bag hold both the tent and the poles (metal ones) rubber hammer and other bits, its pretty heavy.

When checking the insurance it does also cover damage to other areas caused by the glass break...I do have a really annoying large chip in the middle of the bonnet....BUT I'm a good honest citizen cough cough and won't push it.

10 days to wait for a new screen is a bit annoying, but gives me time to work out the other mods I'm trying to do atm

BTW Roberltd2 you win 100%!

And possibly a re-think on how you store stuff on your ceiling joists? :poke: :D

I was confused why my insurance is more for garaging a car than leaving it on the drive. I can see why now....not much chance of a tent falling out of the sky! A kids' trampoline in windy weather, yes, but a tent highly unlikely! :D

Should polish out, failing that AutoGlass will be able to use some of that magic chip repair glue! :driving:
