Well, despite the knee-jerk reactions of Toto Wolfe and Niki Lauder (talking to the press after Lewis had had a chance to bend their ear, but before they had talked to Nico), the stewards of the race obviously didn't feel that any transgression had taken place.

To be precise, it was Lewis's car that was changing direction at the point of impact, so you could argue that it was Lewis who hit Nico.

At least you'll never hear Nico pleading to be retired from a race.

So, still going to stick up for Nico after his admission? Your obviously a Lewis hater but not even you can defend a deliberate act to ruin a team mates race let alone the teams race...?

Fair point, at the time it looked like Nico turned into Lewis but having looked at a replay you are of course correct... But Lewis was on the racing line and in front, Nico should have backed off. Pushing too hard too early - if it was Vettel in front you could understand him taking the risk, but not his team mate. Seems a bit out of character for Nico tbh, so an expensive mistake rather than a deliberate act... That motor home meeting would be an interesting place to be later though

FIA won't do a thing imo. This will be sorted in house. Well I say sorted, but of course at Monza anything goes now.

Bit of a shitty situation for the team as they've already expressed their views on team orders. So they just have to lay down the law properly this time and hope they play fair on track.

Secondly, it would be a strange manoeuvre to try to carry off deliberately - there is no guarantee that you won't damage your car to a greater extent than your opponent's. In this instance, Lewis's car sustained a puncture and Nico's only had minor damage to his front spoiler, but it could just as easily ended up with Lewis not sustaining any damage and Nico's nose cone ending up under his car.

Thirdly, even if it were deliberate, then there are many examples of ruthless driving by the great drivers - Ayrton Senna and Michael Schumacher included. You don't become World Champion by being Mr Nice Guy, especially when your team mate has already cost you an almost certain victory by disobeying team orders in the previous race.

Fourthly, you may wish to learn the difference between "your" and "you're" and also "mates" and "mate's" and "teams" and "team's".

The BBC website reports that a spokesman for Mercedes has confirmed Lewis' statement

Rosberg has yet to react to Hamilton's claims but Mercedes said Hamilton's remarks were a "broadly accurate" representation of what went on in the meeting.

Drivers touch front wing with tyres all the time and 9 times out of 10 the spoiler damaged car comes of worse so I don't think Nico wouldn't have done it on purpose. It just so happens that this time Hamilton got a puncture and the rivalry between the two has escalated this racing incident tenfold. I'd like to see Hamilton race in the touring cars, then he would have some nudging to moan about.
