Well, in this weather, if the roof gets stuck halfway you're bound to get a bit of water in the cabin :evil:Stuart Truman said:Water leaks into the cabin have been a regular thread. Otherwise nothing springs to mind

I wouldn't say the E89 is any worse than the old model, didn't the old model suffer waterlogged roof pumps, broken springs etc. I haven't come across any new model horror stories upto now, some trim rattles and water in the rear light units but not much else?
Tim.

Happened to my dad's E89 while he was out. Drove it home very slowly, and it went to BMW on a flatbed.
Result: completely new roof mechanism, took weeks.

It's a nice car (actually it's a gorgeous car) but I'm over getting starry eyed about cars (unless they have a prancing horse on the logo) and I'm in no hurry to get rid of #69 so if they've sold it to someone else, so be it

Maniac said:I really don't think it's reliability that's dropping the price.. An easy assumption but if that were the case it would affect all models no? The 35i/is is dropping because a) it was more expensive in the first place and b) people (at least the masses) don't want fuel guzzlers anymore.
