Test Driving a 3.5iS

I test drove one a while back, really enjoyed it, I imagine it's similar to how an SLK55 AMG would drive and sound

It is a very good price even considering slightly higher miles than most. Certainly not high mileage tho for a big engine. Plenty of toys too.. Would have been £50k or more new.

I never test drove mine before I bought it.....don't think I have with a few cars I've bought.....is that odd?

I never test drove my X5 4.8is or my 520d tourer both AUC, rightly or wrongly, I think overall you are best to though, that way you can pick up any niggles they may have.

is a little yeah 8) although due to being 250ish miles away i have bought 2 cars over the phone in the past . on the basis that the deal was off should the testdrive disappoint .

Thats a stunner for sure & certainly seems a good buy even with the 39k .
will take some resistance to go back to the alpina if the deal is where you want it to be financially 8)
Hang in there & GLW 2nd attempt Stuart

He's trying on the "The people who test drove it before you are really interested"

I told him to sell it to them then, funnily enough, he's calling back when it's fixed :)

The people who were driving it before you flew over from Buckloe just to sabotage the car before you got to it :P

i must admit that one is priced very well but i would be more tempted by the 35i m sport for 1k more and a lot less miles..... would of bought it if i wasnt tied into this pcp for another 2.5 years

Ah well it wasn't to be today. Could work in your favour though, by putting the others off. The mileage is high which is probably off-putting to some but at the right price it will soon go.

Stick with the simpler #69. These E89's need a warranty that's for sure.

I wouldn't say the E89 is any worse than the old model, didn't the old model suffer waterlogged roof pumps, broken springs etc. I haven't come across any new model horror stories upto now, some trim rattles and water in the rear light units but not much else?

Tim.
