Tell us something unusual about yourself

I went bowling with Kevin Schwantz and his father at Suzuka circuit before the Japanese Moto GP.

Sat at the same table and ate breakfast with Randy Mamola, Eddie Lawson, Wayne Gardner, Kenny Roberts, Wayne Rainey. Yes. It was at Suzuka.

Had a drink with Barry Sheene after the Japanese Moto GP at the post race party.

I flew inverted just above the crater of Mt. St. Helen's volcano Washington. In a Vans RV7A. My cousin is the flight instructor/inspector for Van's. And helps customers that have finished building their planes.

I used to work on Nuclear weapons. It had a one mega ton yield (in between the size of a grapefruit/football) and sat on top of a large missile. (that would explain the third arm)

Got to take a ride in a Boeing B-17. Great view from the bombardiers seat in the perspex nose cone.

I have a dragon tattoo on my upper right arm that was done by a member of the Bandito's MC.

I've got black belts in 3 martial arts, I've canoed 100 miles and I used to repair Concorde

I miss Concorde - was always a life ambition to fly on her :(

I worked for Rallliart and have diff tested with Tommi makinnen in Finland.

I fell off my ZXR 750 in 1991 and broke my pelvis and femur. Hospital for 3 months.

I have worked as a doorman around the Manchester pubs and clubs when in my 20's.

I have a welsh dragon holding a Union Jack tattooed on my arm,its supposed to emulate my mixed heritage .

My dad was in the England table tennis team, but trained to be a jockey..he was a coal miner for many years.

I have owned over 120 cars, maybe 130+ if I could remember them all.

I once had my Lancia intergrale off the road and in a field at 100mph + to avoid a collision. Me and the car walked away with nothing but mud on the bodywork.

Edit...

I have been drunk with Shaun Ryder and Bez from the happy Mondays.

Went on stage and and gave jonny Vegas a ride on my shoulders .

Was eating in a Michelin starred restaurant and followed through:(

1. I got told I couldn't be a pilot as my arms are too long vs the length of my legs....?
Who told you that nonsense?

RAF Medical board when I went for Officer/Aircrew selection. My limbs are the wrong lengths vs each other. If I needed to eject then I'd become an instant amputee or something or other. Was 8 years ago and am quite glad really, knowing my luck I'd have been flying rubber dog sh1t out of Hong Kong...... Love a bit of movie reference in the morning.

There is an issue with height & proportion for fast jet aircrew in some instances, but I have met some extremely tall RAF pilots in my time - they just flew multi-engine or rotary wing instead. Very strange that they reject you purely because of that, but I guess when you're not recruiting heavily then even the smallest negative can count you out. I am a short bugger so was ok on that front - I was rated well above average for fast jet aircrew (pilot or nav) in the early 90's but they were recruiting no pilots at the time. Was offered nav, turned it down, biggest mistake of my life bar none :(

Ah mate feel for you :(

Especially as a few navs become pilots once they're in...well naval ones sometimes do, rare but it does happen, although the navy has no jets until 2016 :headbang: :headbang: :x

I know Woots, but the chances were so slim in the RAF... Could've been flying a Typhoon in my 30s too :(

1. Went to school with Nick Kershaw (before rickrolling :)) - he now lies about his age
2. DJ'd my way through 6th form and Uni to help supplement my passion for wine, women & song (still pretty good at "Name that Tune")
3. Took a year out from Uni and spent it doing Oil & Gas exploration and travelling around the world (highly recommended!)
4. When in the RAF spent more time with the Navy and Army than with my own service
5. Have never used any of my free hotel/flight points, but my wife enjoys her free girly trips to NY/London etc. for her and her mates

... have also spent 8 hours in the back of a Hercules with a dodgy stomach, Woots. Got to love those toilet facilities
