That is a properly awesome piece of art - totally original, I love it

Don't understand tats really. Not sure personally what the point is of getting your kids names tattooed or perhaps your name in ancient Chinese. Even worse, those that get a pointless tat like a dolphin or a heart. This said, I've seen a few I really like (Miss Austria in a bikini contest back in the summer of 2000 springs readily to mind) and they tend to be more original designs. Each to their own though.

I have a 5" Chinese dragon on my upper arm. But one thing that stopped me from going big and out there for all to see. Was trying to picture a tat on a flabby 80 year old. All I thought about was "A persistence of memory" by Salvador Dali. That scared me and I kept it small and semi hidden.

this is my sons tattoo

I'm the man with the dragon tattoo! :P

Had a simple cross and rose tattoo (many years ago now when that was one of the only designs around) on my upper arm. As I got older I just didn't like it any more and bothered by the religious significance (not a fan), also it had faded quite badly. I looked into having it removed but when a 16 stone bruiser of a guy in the tattoo shop told me he had one removed once and never again as it's way more painful than having the tattoo, I decided to get it covered with another tattoo. :P An oriental dragon design. Worked out well!

I also have the Korean symbol for Tae Kwon Do on my upper left arm. Means a lot to me as training in that and then teaching it changed my life!

Hey! [bows] Taekwon! [/bows]

I just got my third degree on Saturday, but haven't got a tattoo. A girl from our class got the hangul of Taekwon Do on her back, but they flipped the vertical axis so it only makes sense in a mirror!

Well done on your 3rd Degree. I got to 4th Degree then an illness put me out for over a year! Never really got back into it, sold my clubs on to some of my Black Belt students and ended up teaching fitness classes instead! One of the things I teach is Body Combat so I still get to use my kicks and punches, just don't get hit back now! :P

Absolutely hate the things, what is it that makes you disfigure your body like that :( they're even worse on women, a complete turn off.

I genuinely feel sorry for people who have these things on their body, especially a young guy who works at a local Co-op, he's always walking around with his colour right upto to his ears as he has large butterflies on both sides of his neck looking as miserable as hell and very self concious. There is also a bald guy who shops there regularly whose whole head is tattooed, its actually quite shocking when you first see him.

Funny seeing the pics of Davidf Beckham, he looks like a little boy trying to be a man lol

Tim.

Well Tim each to their own, I have Dumbo on my hip, done 20 years ago

I have a W on each cheek of my arse, when I bend over it spells WOW, my wife has an M on each of hers ?

Your quite right, you can't judge a book by its cover just the same as a person covered in Tattoos, just not my cuppa,

Reminds me of Poppeye :D
