Washed our cars this weekend for the first time since March (I know, shoot me now!).
Both are alpine white (Debs is a 116d and mine a 20i Z4).
Both are covered in tar spots but mine is awful.
They need a full on decontamination job with tar remover, fallout remover, clay (Mit?) etc etc and whilst I have the stuff, I just can't be arsed.
Doesn't get more honest than that!
From a few meters away they look lovely now they've had a wash, but step closer and they are a bit nasty.
The last time I used tar remover when leaving to dwell, the drips coming off were chalky white in colour, as if it was dissolving the paint! From memory I'm sure this was at the tar stage, not fallout remover stage (but might be wrong).
So is this correct, or was it melting my paint or what? It dried on the driveway and stained it for a while.
Cant remember what products but is it common?
I'm thinking of taking them to the local koso-wash and just getting them to do those two stages, or actually just the tar removal.
