I've never done the brakes on any of my cars before, is there anything I should know? Any special tools required?
This is actually for my 330ci, but i believe it's the same underneath.

They don't always come in pairs (although they should be replaced in pairs) - even from BMW or BM Mini Parts - for example the discs for a Z4M.christhomasleeds said:Discs should always come in pairs and if you're looking at these - http://www.bmminiparts.com/PartDetails.aspx?InventoryId=6727FCEB-FFD9-48A7-8878-CFCA24803EB0 then that is the case. Pads will normally come as an axle set i.e four pads for two discs. Remember to order new wear sensors as you'll struggle to salvage the existing ones, one sensor per axle.

Strangely they're smaller than Z4M discs, yet 30% more expensive.ksher said:I read about BMW Performance Front Discs may fit Z4, but not the rear ones due to different braking system. It will be nice to fit those OEM Performance Discs (front and rear) to my Zed when the existing ones need replaced.
