I wear my Omega every day. It is the smaller faced version, as I hate the large diameter watches. It has a black face, and I changed the metal strap to a black rubber one (another £300!!!).
My watch keeps very good time. ok, it might lose a few seconds each month, although I havent noticed it over the past few.
I was interested in a nice good quality watch for years before I got it, and could never decide on one.
I didn't actually realise that mechanical watches weren't 100% accurate....my previous watch, a £30 Casio wave ceptor synched with the atomic clock every night!
I certainly didn't get my watch to "show the size of my bank balance"....cos anyone who knows me knows I'm in stupid debt! I got it to feel good about myself and to enjoy a nice possession. True, cheaper watches do a better job (my Casio actually!), and true, the money could be spent elsewhere. But then, we dont need Z4's do we? A cheap super mini is probably more practical than a Z4!
