Where's Jembo? Wasn't he supposed to get a route sorted or something? Newlands corner looks good as a starting point. What sort of time is everyone up for? I'm a morning person so can do early no prob.

Interesting since joining the forum i have been itching to come to a meet...i works shifts so wont know the rota until closer to the date i will keep checking the thread

Helloooo!? Have I got any takers on a route planner? Suggestions for a pub/restaurant also very welcome as I can make a booking.

Twinkle, you sure you want to trust me with a route knowing last time I took the lead round Kent we only got half way round before we had to refuel???

South & South West London's not my turf I know well enough to meet sufficient expectations of excessive loud pedal use, because without driving the route before hand you'll never know quite what to expect.

if you're really stuck, we could always head out of London on the route a number of you took to the Goodwood Breakfast club, then across country to Battle & do the first part of the earlier Kent route before either heading back up the A21 or 7 mile lane to the M25... oh & by the way they're fitting variable speed cameras on that part of the M25 where Clacket lane services are, so be warned.

Right this website looked quite nice. I have just called to enquire, they have a "Billiard" room that can accomodate up to 30 people (in case people bring friends/partners) and they say they will have enough parking provided we have lunch before 1pm ideally getting there for 12ish.

Lady quoted that a roast is 13 quid per head and they have other stuff.
So I've just made a booking for that room for 12:30. Hope this is alright with everyone, if not let me know.

I'm actually thinking I might sit down with my map and figure out a route! I used to be a Sales Rep all over Surrey so should remember some of the better roads. I will require some input from Surrey boys amongst you...I know there are a few.
 
Flimper is good with maps and lives Camberley way - just don't expect him to programme a satnav :D

I think everyone should buy a pack of eggs from the pub farmshop, and put them in the boot, whoever has the most in tact eggs by the end of the day get a prize...an omelette or something possiblyy...

Updated - I have confirmed with SWMBO, prepped my fellow rugby coaches and will be bunking off to come along to this for sure :yeah:

Not sure whether I will be accompanied or not... If I am it will probably be Wee Bing - hope nobody has any objections to him coming...
