Suplex springs

I've a cracked OEM rear at 29k and am just trying to clarify what I've read in the other threads...

Are Suplex springs the same as BMW OEM? If not:

1) Do they last longer than OEMs?
2) Do I need to notify my insurance company about them?
3) If I put 2 on the rear, do I need to change the fronts as well?

I'm not really looking to switch to Eibachs if the Suplex is an improvement on OEM.

Thanks

Suplex only supply to the Aftermarket and not to OE.
If anything they will just be a direct copy of the original Spring. They aren't realistically going to be any better, otherwise they'd have been snapped up as an OE supplier by now.

I've got some for mine but not had a chance to fit them yet due to the weather bring pants!
Guy in the parts place I got them from rated them highly so we will see and for £60 per pair (msport suspension version) can't really go wrong. Can't be worse than the oem ones that's for sure.

I have had them fitted on the rear for about a year now with no issues.
Check whether you have M sport suspension as the springs are different for both M and nonM sport.

Which parts place did you get them from? I'd be tempted to do the front as well at that price...

I guess no need to notify the insurance company for these then.

Speak direct to the factory (suplex uk in Sheffield), they're really helpful and will tell you who your nearest stockist is.
Dito, got mine direct from the factory in Sheffield and picked them up in person.
The guy seemed pretty knowledgeable around the Z4 spring snapping issues .
