Supercharger has arrived

This could be a possibility for me in the future as I'm already itching for more power, adding a supercharge whine to the mix would be fantastic!'
Howmuch this little job set you back?

That is NOT a bad amount of money for the gains.

Well done pal.

Really impressed you got stuck in yourself.

many years ago i started with a non intercooled kit ( just talking about my experience using a non charge cooled kit) on my car before i went through another 2 stages and then modded it outside of ESS, i found these felt great from the off but as they heat soak and when it heat soaks power becomes much much less noticeable, after i logged AIT's on my non intercooled kit at the time i was pretty shocked and swiftly moved to a intercooler upgrade kit. After a few hours on the circuit the car was barely more powerful than a stock ///M as the AIT was just so warm the ecu pulled timing, in summer things were even worse. That vortech is a big unit and once it heats up it really starts throwing out some decent heat, i often wondered the effect on the engine as that whopper of a blower was forcing in all that hot air, i can still heat soak NOW with my massive FMIC at the track on a hot full days driving, only when i throw some meth/water injection does it jump back to full power and then some. You'll be amazed how quickly that oil temp rises too, and i have an a proper setrab racing oil cooler unit.

However if your just using on the road i don't think the above will be such an issue.

a nice quick easy way to sort the above without going down the expensive route of intercoolers and the head ache of the pipework is meth injection but simply as a charge cooler, you'll get consistent power , much lower AIT's and probably pick up around 20hp alone with no boost increases.

Again i used my kit in all stages on the track so was able to see them in the extremes.

you've done a great job on the install, well done, its GREAT to see others taking the plunge, if you ever plan to use this kit in anger for a sustained amount of time you WILL need additional oil cooling units and charge cooling system, with that in mind, i don't think these stage 1 inter-cooled kits are quite the bargain they appear to be IMO of course.

opinion view point- First hand experience.

Beedubs thanks for the above, my car is not for track use and is my second car so more for a spirited drive and car meets. I gave had charge cooled kits before and depending on how it runs may add this at a later date.

fair enough for road use and those b road sessions this will work fine.

if you ever want a quick and relatively easy solution, Meth/water injection. can be alittle costly to run but will keep your AITs rock solid and a fat bump in TQ.

Car runs well, ask SK93 as i took him out in it yesterday, the only down side is on idle the supercharger sounds rather rattle but you touch the throttle and it goes

Ideal I'm glad it's working well for you.

You going to try and do anything about the rattle.?

It's a common issue, have checked oil in supercharger which is spot on. So not a lot can do.
