good choice marlon!
I used to live in Barrowford, at the foot of Pendle Hill many years ago. Really lovely all around there and Forest of Bowland is always a joy to visit! Stunning vistas and fresh air.
Living in Holland I really miss the hills of England.

Barrowford just minutes from me Chris , you must know the delights of the area well , all the Ribble valley & Bowland is stunning but Downham my particular favourite of Pendle

Yep wilksy, know downham well. Happy memories of a former life over there up to about 2001.
I'm originally from Liverpool but don't have much of a scouse accent but the one question I would always get from people there was 'yer nut frum roond ere ar ye?'. Haha happy days!
Always remember hearing the ambulances screaming through Barrowford every weekend up towards Pendle Hill. Obviously on their way to tend to some poor unfortunate biker who'd come off, or worse. Always fresh bunches of flowers left on bends around the hill. Mad.

Just returned from a open top sunny drive to Whitby where fish and chips were duly scoffed. The perfect day was somewhat spoilt by speed cameras. Yes I will call these speed cameras and not safety cameras as the first on the A171 just into the village of Lythe where the van was parked as close to the 30mph signs as possible and tucked well behind a wall covered in trees and impossible to see until passed. The second when returning and possibly the same van was also on the A171 but this time parked well back from the road again obscured by trees with the camera mounted on a tripod on the roadside. The officer was seated at the side of the van enjoying the evening sunshine whilst no doubt racking up the thousands of pounds for North Yorks Police.

I wasn't caught but no doubt many were. I hope nobody on here? Never seen a better example of a cash generating exercise than these two :x :x

Also went out, went to Ellesborough church, near Wendover, great views from the tower and a nice cuppa and cake after

Car parked nicely below

Pillock parked to close for my liking

After checking my car, we went for a spin through wendover and bumped into D4dawg in his Z4M, his car needed a good clean IMO :P

Cheers Marlon, not sure about the bonus though  don't tell him as he's much younger and a bit taller than me :exitright: :D

Lovely neck of the woods Fred, not too far from me

Nice photo and video Marlon  On a family day out when I was about 10 years old somewhere along that stretch of river I found an old knife stuck into a pine tree. Took it home and cleaned off the lichen and rust and I still have it now in my tool box. I still wonder how it ended up stuck in that tree ! I was itching to get out in my Zed today but was gardening, lawn mowing and window cleaning instead ! Later on I did pull all my alloys off and gave them a thorough clean, glaze and seal. Also cleaned and dressed the wheel arches...mint !

Glorious day today we drove clean across Dartmoor from Gunnislake to Cudleigh. Brunch at Prince Town then on to Ugbrooke House.
