I've removed the case successfully from the headlining, but can't figure out how to release the clip? Can anybody who has managed it provide any guidance? I'm not bothered about putting sunglasses in there, just don't want it popping open over every decent bump...

The case can be left in situ, (sorry) a pair of snipe nose pliers can pull the clip out and simply slide the new clip in.

Just make sure you put the new clip in the right way.
