As a corner stone of this forum surely you would use it for a few meets a year? I understand your point of not wanting to keep it and see it rot- but after 10 years you should keep her IMHO!cj10jeeper said:

Hey CJ I get your point about not using it too many cars. But it would be such a shame to see you let it go?!
Could I suggest another possible option if the money is not a big issue. Do you not have a close family member a long turn friend someone you trust and who loves cars? Could you not let domine else become a custodian of the car? It gets used and enjoyed ( I am sure you would get enjoyment from that too?) and you also get to see it and use it when you want?

I'm another one for keeping.
Not sure what you want to do, Spain may be a hassle. But then you'd still get to enjoy it? In proper convertible weather? Storing could cause disuse related issues... MM makes a valid suggestion? Leave it here for someone you can trust as a 2nd car?
Seems such a shame to sell on such a nice car, which you've literally perfected over the years.

Phil,as Paddy and others have said,it would be a shame to split it,or even let it go.
It was also one of the first modified Zed's I saw back in the early days on here,and I always looked forward to seeing what you had added to it next.
All the things you did to it over the years were great,and fairly uncommon at that time(many followed suit),including my own Black 3.0 getting Clear xenons from you,as well as inspiration to do my 108s two colours,years ago.
Would be a big shame for you to sell it,I think you would regret it.

Sorry to buck the trend, but I vote sell it. You've just bought a fantastic F-Type. You'll be driving and enjoying that enough, surely?

Agreed though, that even though my M was in an exceptional condition with an unmolested engine, I knew deep down that I would not drive it. I know from experience that I only drive the Golf 100 miles a year or so, the M would have been even less (but had been a better investment to park in the garage and see it increase in value due to only being 26k).

I was in the same situation about 8-9 years ago with a 205 GTI. I opted to keep it (still have it locked away). However its only seen the light of day a handful of times since, mainly to see if it still works! The original intention was to keep it as a 3rd car/track day toy. I've only done two in it since! Quite often I think I should have just sold it, but then again they have appreciated in value quite considerably in that time so financially keeping it has proved quite shrewd. I'm not saying the same will happen with zeds but if it did would you be gutted?
I have to admit I quite often think I should have sold it to severe that emotional attachment regardless of the financials years ago. Its definitely a catch 22, especially if you don't need the cash in the bank etc.
