Stone Chips!

I didn't realise I had so many stone chips on the car until I was washing it today in good sunlight. There's enough there that I think I should do something about it, is it something a body shop can do and how much is it likely to be?

Here's a huuuge picture ( 13mb ), showing all the stone chips, what's the prognosis? :?

Thanks for looking.

Crikey, and I thought mine was bad before the respray :o

bodyshop would likely respray bumper and bonnet at least, but I'm no expert :?

:o It looks like you've been using the body glitter stuff on your car.

I thought the few I had were bothering me, but I've probably got less than 25% of what you've got there.

Looks like a respray job, probably including the wings too.

Front-end respray and Armourfend/Paintshield/Ventureshield.

Respray maybe £500, and the same again for full front coverage protection film.

ok, thanks - I think i'll just try and live with it. 1k is a bit much to be spending for my tastes. Is it possible to do a fair repair with some touch up paint?

I think that is beyond touch up paint! :o A respray to the bumper and bonnet would be about £500 I think.

Want cheap fix? Not sure you can get this on your side of the pond, but here in the states, Turtle Wax has black car wax. I use it on mine after I detail the car and it pretty much hides the stone chips. Works on dark blue cars too. The problem with repainting is that they just come back again after awhile. Good luck.

It's actually not as bad looking at it normally, I think the photo really does make all the chips stand out but yeah, they're there and I can't get away from that. I'll take a look at the options! Thanks everyone.

You may want to try something like this.

I have this kit after our US friends spoke highly of it. I have to say it's very good, but it's for fixing the odd chip, not a rash. Results are as good as the effort you're prepared to put in and frankly with that many chips it's a respray job.
