stomach pain question.

 now normally I'm fine with a little pain, but holy $!#*& this hurts! I had just noticed this pain a few hours ago after getting home from work and playing about an hour of video games.

I realized that when I lean forward while sitting down or just moving/stretching my lower abdomen too much it causes this extremely sharp pain just below my belly button. It feels like something is pulling the inside of my stomach/belly button inwards everytime I move the wrong way. It hurts so much that I can't seem to lay down or sit down without it being too painful. Has anybody had this issue? Any recommendations? My current primary physician is out of the country for a whole month. Will this go away on its own or should I just go to a doctor? :scratchhead:

Increased pain with pressing? I am not a GP, but I did have appendicitis which was rather painful ...

Go to a doctor - you can't expect to get any sort of reasonable diagnosis from an Internet forum!

Im thinking the same, and if it is you need to be seen ASAP as it will rupture at some point, spilling infection and bile into your abdomen which is life threatening. :(

If you press on your left side and its ok then press on the right and its agony then youre probably looking at Appendicitis.

But ultimately +1 to Perry, seeking medical advice on here is madness hahaha

The longer you wait, the more damage it causes.

Thanks to the NHS, I was waiting for about 10 hours which meant it burst and the pain has never gone away.

Nope. No pain when pressing. Noticed so far the only pain is if taking a deep enough breath that would expand the stomach/lungs and really just any movement that is above the waist. Only direction I can seem to move without pain is leaning forward while standing.

In all honesty I was hoping this was just going to be a small thing, but this is just way too painful to bare and I don't see this going away on its own. I guess I'm going to the doctor :headbang: hopefully I don't end up dying  was more so looking to see if anybody has had these symptoms and knew of anything to do and avoid during this situation

To do: Go to the doctors
To avoid: Looking for answers on a car forum

Seriously though, hope you get it sorted

On a Windows forum, he would have been asked to perform a reboot first though ...

You've got wind, jump up and down and have a good ol' fashioned botty burp... :D

Could be anything, as said a doc is the guy you need, you've got insurance over there right?

Could be Diverticulitis, which is BLOODY painful - I know from experience!

Mike

Any tips on diet etc, that relieves it Mike? Got that myself, diagnosed a few weeks ago, gives me some fair old grief, I'm sure diet change will help but if you've got any sure fire things that made a difference to you I'm all ears. Cheers in advance.

Nah the last person who had those symptoms never posted again :tumbleweed:

Are you still popping pills and smoking wacky backy?
Maybe cut out all that and your problems will vanish.
On the other hand maybe you just need a poo. :D

Not meaning to hijack OP's post - But get lots of fibre, I take one Fybogel a night. STRESS is also a major instigator for me. Other than that I just don't go mad with spicy foods, and also avoid seeds, as they can apparently get trapped in the pockets in the intestine and actually go off...

I've been hospitalised 4 times in the last 7 years with the pain, ending up on a morphine and antibiotic drip. When it flares up, it's akin (i believe) to being stabbed in the guts pain wise. It DOES bloody hurt!

Oh, and drink lots of water, and DON'T take Ibuprofen or similar (irritates the intestine)
