S scotty597 Member Dundee Nov 21, 2013 #5 Every so often I give mine a spray with motorcycle chain lube, thin enough to get in everywhere but not gloopy enough to attract lots or crud. Only used that as thats what came to hand first in the garage. Good for door locks and hinges too. Is a bit thicker than PTFE.

D domsz4 Veteran Nov 21, 2013 #6 mine does it all the time, lots of cleaner and then some lube but tbh i think i need to get at it and get on the thick caked on grease first and then some thing to oil it.
