Just goes to show what sport car means to different people, for non practicality an R8v10 would be my pick, but a single car restriction would be the M4. Just as well they don't have a one car per family law in the UK :driving:

F-type still carrying the day in this list , wonder if its because we are mostly a roadster crowd on here - really good first outing at this by Jaguar imagine what the Gen II cars will be like

F Type was a consideration before I bought the Evora so it has to have my vote too.

I do love the looks of the R8, so that would be second

If I was going back to a BMW then it would be back to a Z4 I think

The coupe is nicer than the roadster though..

I'm really suprised the F type is winning by a fair margin.. I thought it was just going to be me voting for it..

Gotta say I'm also suprised the 997 is 2nd in the running and the complete lack of love for the M4

Well that was a nice easy one. Only one that comes as a proper roadster on the list. That'll be the F-Type by a country mile from that list. 8) :D

yep kind of wished i'd put the Cayman in as the 981 S - to allow Boxter S and Cayman votes - for me this is the F-types biggest x-factor that it comes in a proper roadster - and it does not have much competition in that regard.

Although to be honest you could get the R8 in cab format - which i'd forgotten about and might be a very nice motor

I think the M4 is bound to struggle in this poll. It's not an out and out sports car like the rest. Compare it to an RS5 or C63 it might fare better.

I'll be a lone voice here. The F-Type does nothing for me. Safe and rather unadventurous styling and the V8 exhaust note is awful. All fake farts and belches. Last place on the list for me, closely followed by an R8.

I'd go 997 GTS followed by 981 Cayman S (or approved used GTS possibly). Although the absence of an Exige S is a definite oversight to these eyes!

i think the M4 probably wins the C63 RS5 poll outright , despite your vote for the RS-5.

in this list I think the Evora is an oversight but i'm not sure of the Exige S - there should have been a lotus.

the one not in this list and i think would win hands down is a GT4 but unless you already have a 918 in the garage they are impossible to get.

I discounted the AMV8 which would have come in on budget due to the very expensive servicing.

I was thinking R8 spider not coupe. Hate the coupe. Spider is a fine car but it would have to be the V10 with a manual box if they do that combo and the real word running costs are going to be lots of pennies. Jag still gets it any way it's gorgeous even the Coupe

Curious why the Exige S wouldn't merit a place? 350hp £60k sports car that would run rings around just about every other car on the list and will lose less money than all of them in depreciation except perhaps the 997 GTS.

How my back would feel by the time I'd driven it to Austria - I love them - there is a lovely blue one locally - but all the others in the list i'd be happy to do 350 miles plus a day in for a week .

its a vey subjective list - perhaps we should do something similar when evo list there performance cars of the year and have our own vote ?

I voted F-type before i read the 60k limit that would remove the V8, cant seem to change now.

I imagine the GTS is the winner, but i'd have to drive GTS + 991 back to back to decide, i certainly like the 991 looks, and i'm not sure the 997 GTS has the same improved look that the 991 GTS does.

For me, which car i can park on the street and not get keyed/stolen is a huge factor, and i'm afraid none of them could be the issue, even if 911's are commonplace in London.

Two good points, interesting one on the former, Porsche themselves think the 991 is the better driving experience hands down, I think I read that the 991c2 only lapped a few seconds down at the ring in comparison to the 997gt3 which sounds like quite a feat in terms of generations moving the game on...

The street parking thing is a nightmare, but best just do it and get decent cover and not worry about it, else you'd never get anything decent unless you had a garage etc

i should add... my choice is amv8s or v12 when it drops a little more. I cant imagine servicing is that diff to porsche or jags.

Don't see the amv v12 going anywhere near £60k they're probably appreciating quite nicely already :)

Ah now I understand the poll...perhaps we should rename it "which car should zermatt choose next?" :D
