I'm still skeptical that you UK folks get the adaptive steering that reacts to the mode button. Are you sure about that?

I can confidently speak for our nation when I say "yes".

Wonder why it's not the same on US cars? You either have stronger or weaker arms, depending on what the default setting is like.

Puts me in mind of the Biblical quote. . . "And some fell on stony ground" :driving:

Matthew 13:5 said:
And other fell on good ground, did yield fruit that sprang up and increased; and brought forth, some thirty, and some sixty, some an hundred. He said unto them, He that has ears to hear, let him hear.

Bless you my son :driving:

For any given actual road speed does having the Sport button "on" actually make any difference to fuel consumption?

There was a string on here that tended to imply that the Sports button did indeed improve mpg. I've done a few relaxed tests and I kind of believe it - I'm fairly certain that my mpg improved a couple of mpg when I did a similar run with the sports button on but it wasn't a scientific or controlled test.

Irrespective, I still prefer the Zed with the sport button on so a few mpg here or there will be overlooked.

Improved?! :o I was actually thinking it might be the other way i.e. worsened?

In that case, I think I'll just leave it on most of the time too. Thanks

Not directly. But the throttle response is much more spontaneous, so it is easy to dump useless fuel with a twitchy foot.
