speeding tickets and the z.......

Got one in the Z3 on a fixed speed camera (on christmas day 56 in a 50 limit) and one in the Z4 on a mobile unit (never saw the van), one more in the Z4 from the same mobile unit 4 months later (still never saw the van) but my wife took that one. I think Wiltshire is raising money from speed cameras, all these were not on dangerous roads, only in good locations to pick up the pace. All those areas I now go on cruise control.

I'll wait for Mrs. Right, and I don't wanna have to explain to her how I've given into crazy temptations like these in the past. I'll give into these temptations WITH her and her alone. :fuelfire:

That's a good philosophy, my man.

It absolutely boggles my mind how many men (and women) out there are willing to cheat. They are idiots! Don't they understand that it's only when thre's soid foundation of TRUST hat anthing good can happen in a relationship? And casual encounters are a lot of fun in the short term, but if somebody's willing to be with someone they don't really know or like that much, somebody almost ALWAYS ends up hurt. Those are lessons learned the hard way

But back on topic, I've developed a hand signal to ask people not to tailgate (not the middle finger).

Barring that, I've always thought that a big hocked up lunger straight up and over the windscreen might work, but I haven't actually tried it. :P

Hitting the windshield washers will usually back them off...

hey, he said it wasn't a bad one....just wondering. Cause I use one to thank people for letting me merge and another for letting people merge in front of me.

what's the hand gesture bluesie?

Yeah, Rosie, I always try to be polite behind the wheel. I wave thanks to folks that let me in, signal folks to go ahead, stuff like that. That's why I'd NEVER own a car with tinted windows.

Anyway, the hand gesture is a little hard to explain, and only works with the top down in bright light.

I hold my right hand up and visible to the dumbass on my tail, holding my index finger and thumb about a quarter inch apart, sort of like a "teeny weeny" sign, then spread them to indicate "give me more room". It's like an expanding pinch sort of thing. Then I give an "OK" sign. It seems a pretty clear gesture, an assertive request to back off a bit, rather than a threat or attack.

On a side track, I know a guy who once actually slammed on his brakes to make the guy rear end him because he was following so close. True story. That's pretty darn psyhotic, if you ask me. But it just goes to show how important it can be to maintain your cool behind the wheel and not do stuff to piss people off. People are only about 35% rational, by my estimation.

Yeah, I don't mind letting people know they are tailgating but I hate the people who slam on their brakes to do it. That's not right and greatly increases accident ratings. At any rate, I'm like you, I try to be polite behind the wheel, I'll give space etc, I think for me it's more want to show people that you can have a nice car and be nice as well as alot of folk here in Vegas aren't. Although normally i'm going too fast (though not the fastest on the road)

It doesn't matter Bluesie, they are all the same topic on this forum as well....lol!!!

The gesture is noted....don't ya just love waving out the top of the car......nothin' cooler.

Rosie

155mph, how did she manage getting off with a warning. I was wearing a short skirt, little top and am blonde, course it was midnight, so maybe he couldn't see, and this is assuming that this should have HELPED get me off. But I STILL got a ticket.

What exactly did she have to do to get off with a warning...or would she not tell you? LOL!!!

You know, I hadn't even considered that !!!! But hey, if you got it, use it, that is what I always say!

Cool your jets flyboy......you can't make those kinda requests from someone old enough to be your mother.....(i've somehow forgotten your age at the moment).

I doubt that, unless you were fertile at age 9.

I'm at the perfect age to be a single, handsome guy. I can get away with dating girls from as young as 21 to as old as 45ish. BUT of course that's not me. Never been like that. But it's a good feeling knowing that the 21 yr old hotte I just winked at in the grocery store when I caught her checking me out just got all tickley inside thinking of what it would be like to be held by me. And the 45 yr old hottie in the dealership waiting area was sitting over there daydreaming about walking by and inviting me to meet her in the restroom for a spicy quickie. These are horrible and sinful thoughts, but it's reality. And as I've said before "reality sux" :headbang: . I could never do anything like that. But knowing this boosts my self confidence and that makes me smile. :D

I'll wait for Mrs. Right, and I don't wanna have to explain to her how I've given into crazy temptations like these in the past. I'll give into these temptations WITH her and her alone. :fuelfire:

Oh please. Get over yourself.
