CamerAlert uses the PocketGPSWorld camera database, which is probably the most comprehensive (and most frequently updated) of the databases. I usually use my tomtom along side cameralert. Waze is very good in areas that people use it as your replying on other people's updates to keep you updated where trouble is. Some places you can see loads and loads of people on it. Others nothing at all for miles.
pvr said:Just tested tomtom and it was not great. Just before a known camera where I was testing it on it had a no network message on the screen and it did not alert me. I stopped, quit the app and restarted it an the it alerted me.
It still showed me the speed whilst it said it had no network. My phone had strong 3G though so not sure what the message was about.
