South Yorkshire meet Sat 22nd August - PICS PAGE 10 + 11

Evo triangle are three roads used by Evo magazine on many occasions to test drive cars. A5, B4501 and A543 forming the triangle around Cerrigdryddion. )excuse my mis-spelling!)

There are also the two routes I used earlier in my ownership experience...

I did the evo triangle a few times when had the 130i and can fully recommended it  Great roads and great scenery. Have included a few pics from last visit. Would be great if we could get a few Zeds together as it is alot of fun

It's about 80 miles from Sheffield to Queensferry which would be a good starting point for a drive into Wales. Much of it on the M56 motorway so wouldn't be too difficult for the Yorkshire lot to do :)

ahem... some non-notherners *may* come too.. 8) but then we're better at directions so I'm sure we'd find it..

I didn't take many pictures but here they are.

Can't beat this parking

Really enjoyed the day. Weather was great and had the pleasure of lovely people :)

soooo gutted I missed it! :( Looks like you had a great day - sorry I couldnt get down in the end but I'll make sure I'm around for the next one.

Who was it who got lost halfway through then?! Or was that the guy who had to go home early anyway?

Love the 4th pic down in Lucy's post - a solitary "No Parking" surrounded by 10 Zeds

Spud - yeah mate he had to dash :( Coulda told us though!!

Looks like a good day out, wish i still had my Zed to come along! What was the deal with all the VX220's? Strangly enough, the Zed and my old VX were my two favorite cars that i have owned so far! (although my big new friendly Ozzy could well join that list!)

Sorry I didn't let you know Ed, but I was v late. :)

Any one fancy doing croft? :driving:

I want to stretch the Z4 leggs and I was held up looking at Lucy's rear-end most of the drive :D

I think we need a early Sunday morning one (although I know that rules out Lucy due to boyfriends/girlfriends/parties/etc.) so that we miss most of the traffic - I'd just about be able to start at 8am without having to bring an intravenous caffeine dispenser - and we'd be able to finish at 1pm/2pm for lunch/football/etc.

I was gunna put exactly the same thing. The only annoying thing about Sat was the traffic. Great day though, great drive/route Ed. Lets sort another ones out for the next month or so. I'd be up for travelling to Wales if we got a good meet organised, if not, more than happy to do the Peaks again, or Dales.

Yeah, it'd be cool, but even the nearest parts of North Wales are 150 miles away for me.

North Wales is only 20 minutes away for me - that's why I probably spend more time there than in the Oopnürthring area.

  Is that how you see me!

I can make myself available if i'm given plenty of notice. And can try not to have any Saturday night arrangements :)

So if we start at 8am (I'm warming to a Welsh blast) are there any cheap B&Bs in the area? Not sure I'd want to be on the road for 5am to get there in time! Would any of the Yorkshire/East Midlands lot be up for going over the night before or would an early start be better?

I reckon early start would be better. I seriously don't mind a 5/6am get up if I'm given a week or two's notice. Let's face it, it's only an hour/hour and a bit than a lot of people get up for work anyway.
