South Yorkshire meet Sat 22nd August - PICS PAGE 10 + 11

I don't mind either way, a B&B sounds good (more driving time!) but I could always manage an early start and trek over.

I reckon early start would be better. I seriously don't mind a 5/6am get up if I'm given a week or two's notice. Let's face it, it's only an hour/hour and a bit than a lot of people get up for work anyway.

Yeah but I don't have to then drive practically the width of the country before work! I'll go with what the majority want to do, just looking forward to giving the old girl another good thrashing. :driving:

I would suggest that a Welsh drive could start at 9- 10 am on either a Saturday or Sunday and there will loads of empty roads to drive. It would be quieter on a Sunday but I'd be confident that we could put a route together that would have minimum traffic. I've been hooning around North Wales for years and have found some great roads : part of the Evo triangle on a Sunny Saturday in May!

I feel pretty inspired by that pic, count me in. Do you get many speed traps in that area, especially if the police know it's used as a 'test track'?!

Would an ex-Z4 owner be welcome on a North Wales meet? I have the Monaro now,so would still be in something interesting........

I've read they even hide speed cameras in horse boxes parked up at the side of the road, so yes.. best to stick to 60 (+ 10% ;) )

i have tried to find roads that are challenging within the National Speed limit. That is to say if you were to drive at 60 mph + you would end up in a tree!!

I have never seen a speed trap on the Evo triangle but I'm sure they do appear on the faster sections. But we won't be speeding anyway! :)

I'll suggest some dates before the weather declines and a meeting point. We can see what interest we get and proceed from there!

19th or 20th September meeting at the Asda car park Queensferry between 9.00 and 10.00am -directions to follow.

Or the 26th or 27th September same meeting place.

There's now a thread on the meets/events section so get your name down on there if you fancy a great day out in September! :driving:

A few more pics, sorry about the delay, lost my USB cable!
