South Yorkshire meet Sat 22nd August - PICS PAGE 10 + 11

This is sounding a little better :) Ill plot a 40-50 mile route round the peaks with a pub stop or 2 and see if people are interested :p

Right then, i've done a 48 Mile round route which Starts/Ends at the Duke of York pub on the A515, stopping at the Bentley Brook Inn, Fenny Bentley half way round (for a quick drink/food etc!).

The DoY Pub was designated the start as its fairly equidistant from Sheff/Rotherham/Manchester. If there are more people from the South, we could easily start at the Bentley Brook (and us Sheffielders will want that 'cos we'll do my favourite road ever 3 times!!)

If the western-lot (Liverpool/Manchester/Preston/etc.) want to meet around Glossop then I suggest we depart there at no later than 1:30pm to meet up with the rest (depending on where the central meeting point will be in the Peak District).

There are a few nice routes out of Glossop depending on where the central meet is too.

The easiest place I can think of to meet in Glossop (i.e. easy to find car park) is Tesco - I'll probably just park in the nearest empty space to the car park entrance - and there's a Tesco petrol station there too for those who need SUL.

What time do you think we'd roughly be home for? As i'm off out on Saturday evening.
 
Just pick your most convenient services nearest to the M18. Not sure what they are as whenever I use the M18 it's always to end up going a lot further south than Sheffield!

If we're in the Peak District by 2.30, a 40-odd mile trip round and pub stops will take a couple of hours. Then travel time home. So you'll probably be back by 5.15/5.30 ish?

Me too, it's quite an important thing too! lol. Hate to be a pain and try and mess things up, but could we meet up centrally about 1, gives us a bit more time then? Sorry.

so have we decided on a sheffield meeting point? someone mentioned the morrisons just off the parkway. Are the Donny lot meeting the sheffield group on the way to the peaks?
 
So, as i see it we are now settled on 3 meeting points i.e. Donny (Doncatester Dome), Sheffield (maybe Morrisons) and Glossop (Tescos)

We now need a group meeting place, i would have thought as Sheffiled is central, then why do the Donny and Glossop meets then not head to the Sheffield meet
 
Ok....so 1pm at Morrisons off the Parkway Sheffield. I will be at doncaster dome for noon to then head for the central meet at Sheffield. What time will you guys have to leave glossop? then onto Ed's suggested route round the peak's........Does that sound ok ...??
 
I'll drive any where, just interested to meet up and see other Z4's

we need to check if others are happy with meeting centrally in sheffiled, if so, i'd suggest a 12 meeting for the Glossop guys, its plenty of time to have a chat before heading over to sheffield

I guess we'll have to leave Tesco Glossop by 12 noon too, as while I'm confident of doing the Glossop to Attercliffe run in 30 minutes myself, I do understand there'll be some roadsters along too :fuelfire:

At least we get a run over the Snake/Woodhead (I prefer the Snake). If the Morrisons is the one near J33/M1 then I suggest this route to trundle over.
 
lol the times keep getting earlier... I'm not sure I can make glossop in time to leave for 12, so I may have to just head directly for a sheffield or donny meet up by blasting over the motorway... would anyone care to pm me their mobile(and real name lol) so I can stay in touch if there are delays?
 
Also thinking of participating. Could someone please drop me a pm with a mobile so I can get in touch in case I get stuck in traffic or whatever.
 
I don't know how to get off the Parkway to get to Morrisons :headbang: :rofl:

I'm only used to driving from one end of the Parkway to the other. :lol:
