Sometimes I am ashamed to live in this country.

I took my car out for a run this morning (has been parked up for 3 weeks while in Spain). I came across 12 chav scrotes on bikes riding on pavements, road and wrong side of road. As I approach a roundabout 2 decide to pull out in front of me f**king around and blocking my path (all the while staring at me). I get past giving the tw@ts a piece of my mind.

As I drive around a loop I come across them for a second time cycling straight at me swerving and proceeding to spit over my car as we pass.

This is a classic example of what is wrong with this country. No rules, no control and total apathy for scum - basically the potential for freefall to anarchy). It does frighten me........what happens when these idiots have kids????

Flip to Spain - improverished and desperate in places but they still have a grasp of rules, decency and manners.

No wonder we get nil point in the Eurovision so often !!!!!

Crap isn't it, but it's not new. A while back (20yrs) I asked a bunch to tone down their language as I had my young son with me (he's now 23!) and got an earful in reply. When I came out of the shop there were about 20 of them waiting for me. Fortunately I faced them down or I'd have taken a kicking. Feral kids are a bloody menace. It's no excuse but all the places to go and things to do are closed with cutbacks. My younger son now volunteers at the local youth centre, I like to think it helps a little.

That's a shame Mafoo, there certainly are some idiots about, but not all kids are the same, were you tempted to press your right foot down

Wot are the parents like who sporn these kids.wot example do they set.
Our three lads were brought up to work for wot they got .paper rounds.peeling spuds in the chippy .milk rounds etc all before they even left school.even something simple like all sitting down round a table eating and chatting helps with the family bond.and makes them realise wot really matters..
A lot of these scrotes i suspect come from families where anything goes .dont want to work and dont give a damn

we used to live in a village and there was a small gang fronted by a lad who resembled butthead; after asking him politely not to walk along my dry stone wall i used to get attitude all the time. I pointed out to him once that sooner or later he'll leave the little village and he'll take a proper kicking in the real world if he doesn't learn some respect. got a mild smile after that.

There isn't a deterrent & it frustrates me loads, these clowns don't have anything to lose as they know nothing will happen to them, it gets me very angry. :headbang:

Alien....very true about sitting round a table and chatting over dinner. Doesn't happen anymore and we are worse off for it.

As for the chavs....wait till they are on there own, then pick them off one by one!

Mafoo , i cannot agree more mate & spending 1 week in every 6 in the Normandy hillside is only compounding my frustration's at a rapidly declining environment to live, work & socialise in :?
perhaps you would like to join the Z4EML ? just myself and "nondizzyblonde " for now but am sure it will grow :P

I had this on one occasion thankfully with 3 kids probably no more than 11 or 12 years of age running amok on a small car park, and trying to pull a roadsign down. I gave them a look and went to drive off the car park but two of them blocked the exit playing silly beggars, the third ran up to rear of the car trying to kick it but I accelerated away and the tyke miskicked and fell over. Even though they're just kids its still scary as they don't have any conception of when to stop.

The answer to me is simple, all children of younger ages should be made to join or participate in cubs or scout type organisations and the parents fined if they dont participate, older teenagers should be conscripted to do National Service.

Its frightening that schools report that children start school are not even toilet trained.

Tim.

One day when I'm long gone I expect, the parent(s) will be criminally responsible for the actions of their children. I know a few years ago a Mum was sent to jail because her child kept skipping lessons, but you never hear of that punishment any more. Why should the child's parents not be responsible? :headbang:

I had a mate beaten unconscious by about 10 teenagers a few years ago. He was also stabbed twice and he is a big old prop forward. Took him almost a year to recover but they were all caught on CCTV and went down.

Wait til the little sh**s get a driving license! Was out on the bike with the cycling club today and we had an absolute tit in a landy try to take us out as he didn't like 20 odd cyclists going through the lanes at 20mph.

However when I yell at kids on bikes I get nothing but respect. They don't argue with a six footer in lycra!

Don't know the answer but my brother in law is a judge in the youth courts and he is sick of not being allowed to hand down appropriate deterrent sentences.

I guess some form of National Service might help but its closing the stable door too late in many cases.

There is no respect as they are all brought up to question everything and be themselves. They are given adults rights but with none of the responsibility and all at the age of 7?? We can only blame our parents and those of us that are parents for allowing it to get to this.

I live in once industrial Yorkshire. This sort of situation is fairly rare. If you stand up to scrotes like this, they do tend to back down... the problem arises when they dont. I do feel a heep of national service would do good for the bulk of these idiots. They are the sort of people who would be the "cannon fodder" of the first and second world wars....apologies if this sounds harsh. Salt of the earth and all that.

3 weeks ago it was my brother and sisters birthday. they had a party in the garden under a big marquee.

i was sober as i was driving home, but these 16 year old boys had all had way too much to drink and started picking on my sisters boyfriend. he came in and told me, then went back out. they started picking on him again so i stood infront of him and one of the tossers punched me in the face.

my natural reaction was to hit back, but within seconds at least 10 of his little gay mates decided to join in kicking and punching me.

my brother jumped in aswell as my dad and got me out, then the knob run out the front. in a moment of madness i decided to chase him outside. as i got close to him, another tosser decided to stick a piece of glass in my ear, then got set upon again by 10 of them.

unfortunately they decided to run away when it became a fair fight (my brother, dad, uncle and a neighbour armed with a baseball bat).

just goes to show they have no respect whatsoever. my mum and dad were distraught and angry that this had happened under their roof.

unfortunately the police don't seem interested in pursuing assault/ABH charges due to ''insufficient evidence''. i have about 30 witnesses though so will be writing the officer a very nice email detailing exactly what i think of it all.

Welcome to the end result of over zealous liberalism. Which mandates that no crime goes punished. Because it might hurt the criminals self esteem.

It's the same in the US. The California school board (very liberal bunch) passed a school policy that stated that even if a child curses at the teacher & disrupts class. They will not be subject to expulsion. Seems in the liberal eyes of the school board. It's far better to ruin the chance of an education for most students. Than to upset the esteem of the one causing the disruption. But then. That's what the board wants though. It's a great way to create the next generation of dependent on government social benefits loving democrats. It's a win win for government. They create a problem that they say only they can solve. Nice.

We really notice the difference between our usual place of residence (Leicestershire) and our other home in Cornwall.

Both Leicester and Nottingham feel intimidating places to drive and work, whereas Cornwall feels like its about 20 to 30 years behind the rest of the country, and our place is in a village near Newquay!!

In many ways Cornwall does feel like a different country (which it is, it has it's own flag :P ) because the attitudes down there are much more community focused. I've always wondered if it stems from *having* to do stuff for themselves because they're isolated a bit, and that they've got the sea all around, giving the kids lots to do. I think a love of the place they live in is built in when you're born there (we're not Unfortunatly).

Maybe we should put all 11 eleven year olds on an island and pick up the survivors when they are 21!

Sorry, but your idyllic view of the south west is wrong.

We have chavs as well!

I just got back from a lovely old town in the south france called Uzes. While we were sitting having lunch a couple of young lads went screaming along the pavement on a motorbike with a number of police chasing them onfoot

its happening everywhere...
