Some W***ers have vandalised my z4/m!!

I guess that if only the outer cover of the roof has damage then that's all that needs replacing. It's not waterproof after all so I would think no other damage will have been caused unless some of the stuff they threw over it got in there.

Finally getting somewhere...the ins co are finally going to put in writing,that not only are the Ins co (and the bmw aprvd bodyshop),going to give me a 5year warranty on all the work being done(Full respray,new pass wing mirror base,W/screen,External Roof cloth,ROOF INSULATION material,2 ALLOY WHEEL repairs)..they are going to put in Writing,that if any of the internal roofcloth suffers staining,or any of the Roof machanism or Pump motor fails during this time,as a result of water ingress(ie after being vandalised),then this will get repaired foc at the BMW Bodyshop.
I know they may well argue the point if the pump fails a yr or so down the line,that it wasnt due to the vandalism.....but have raised just that point with them and their "INDEPENDANT ASSESSORS",and they assure me they would be liable to put it right,given i have raised my concerns with them now.
Happy days then(hopefully)...cant wait to get it back,just before xmas :D
 
A sure it will be great having it back, and looking really good I'm sure. Never a positive to come out of issue like this, but it will almost be a new car, pleased you have got the insurers doing the right thing and using BMW
 
Sounds like a good result. I wouldn't worry if I didn't get it back by Christmas though, don't want them rushing it.
 
You may get round your pump being vandalised if you say someone has been constantly pouring water down it! :) -glad its all going your way! :thumbsup:
 
Finally got my M roadster back last friday,after 5weeks at the Bodyshop...have been busy doing stuff,and out using the car,so not had time to clean it,and didnt get round to taking pics after it came out the Bodyshop,unfortunately.

However,once its dry,and i get it washed/polished,etc, i will get some pics of it up,in a new thread....although it still has one or 2 wee issues to be dealt with,when the ins co "independant assesor" is back at work next week,as they scratched the seat when it was in at bodyshop,and the central locking bar/bolt for the fuel flap has for some reason stopped working since its return :headbang:
Nothing major,but annoying nonetheless..othe rthan that cars paintwork,roof,etc etc is looking lovely again,finally :D

Haha..have the wife to thank for that/and have been sorely tempted more than a few times,bING,but while i would like to,it will end up landing me in trouble,so ain't worth going to jail for a bunch of jealous/idiotic LOSERS.

Thread/new post will follow soon on why it took so long,haha(tho pics may have to wait a bit) :driving:
