Some Advice regarding Suplex Springs

I'm looking to order some shocks and springs, looking at Bilstein B8 shocks and Suplex springs (as they seem to have a good review on here) and B12 is out of stock on Autodoc. It is a 2006 with the sports suspension, on Autodoc there are 2 fronts and 2 rears listed. 06247 and 06248 with the first being 9 mill longer. The rears are 06230 and 06231 but seem to have the same length. I'm inclined to get the 9mm longer ones. The Suplex online catalogue lists both fitted but the 06248/06231 numbers as "with opts". Anyone know the difference or which they ordered? Not looking to go lower than what I have as it seems to sit nicely, however as nearing 140k probably due a freshen up.

Depends on the car, and whether you have the SE spec or M-sport. There may be a coupe/roadster difference too. FWIW I have an M-sport coupe and I ordered 6231 and 6248. You won't regret doing a suspension refresh, my car drives great now!

Hi Ben, according to the VIN decoder it came with M-Sport suspension. So looks same set up as yours, which shocks did you go with?

I used Bilstein B4s - I wanted it as close to OEM as possible. At the time when I fitted them, Balance Motorsport were the cheapest, but there was a ~2 month delay on one of the front dampers due to delays at the factory in Germany. That was a year ago so may not be an issue now.

I was looking at the B8 shocks but now wondering if they would be too short and stiffen the ride too much, maybe B6 might give a stiffer damper but leave compliance in the springs.

I had these fitted and put equivalent on the rear
On a 2003 3.0 e85 with sport suspension.
I have been pleased with the result drives pretty similar to original but obviously tighter handling due to them not been worn.

Which springs are those sw4nny?

I think it was these for rears from auto doc,but i cant find original order,so check they fit your vehicle before ordering,they also do fronts.
