Hi all,
Time for me to sell my beloved Z4 coupe, I've put alot of time and effort into the car and I hope it reflects that.
Its a 2008 reg midnight blue Coupe 3.0 SI sport,
Its done 105,500 miles and doesn't skip a beat, no issues with the engine whatsoever
I'm the car's second owner, the previous owner did 103k of the miles, mostly commuting.
It has a full service history and 2/3 A4 sides of maintenance history detailing when tyres were bought, services done, brakes done, bulbs etc etc.

It has all the usual sport spec like Sports seats (electric, not heated), Sports steering wheel with multifunction controls
also has cup holders, auto lights, auto wipers, rear parking sensors, cargo nets, Bluetooth hands-free installed (although i never could get it to work, not sure if it was my phone that was the problem)
it has the desirable piano black trim.
standard 6 speaker setup with the business radio, BUT it has a denison 300 unit with an aux in, usb in and ipod in... I usually just leave a tiny 1gb flashstick plugged into it and forget about it.

the car will come with the standard 108 split rim alloys with OEM bridgestone runflats that have 6/7mm on 3 corners and 4/5mm on the 4th corner for the £8000, but the pictured CSL reps can be had instead with the car for £7900.(the csls have falken 452s ,i'd have to check the tread but its no where near as much as the 108s have)
both sets can be had for £8300

The car's MOT'd and taxed until February/March 2014

bad points about the car;
the CSLs are kerbed quite heavily on the rears but the fronts are quite good, the 108s have some light kerbing and the usual corrosion problem the 108s suffer from.
front end has quite alot of stonechips (expected for the mileage)
some parking dings on the doors and some lacquer peel on the drivers rear quarter
small indent on the rear quarter... I did it accidentally when I lent on the car changing the alloys, I'll take photos of this and upload later
Service indicator came on 20 miles ago ( It just needs an oil service and thats it, it had an inspection 2 last and before that another inspection 2...I don't know why but inspection 2 includes everything the inspection 1 does so its only a good thing)
I accidentally broke the aerial connector that plugs into the back of the radio when I was fitting the piano black dash.
beige carpet...I'm not a fan of it anyway  Z4 carpets sell on ebay for like £40-60 but never got round to changing it)
needs some new car mats

now time for photos;

Great looking Zc mate :) 2008 for £8k even considering the miles & the faults offers a lot .
From my recent selling experience though i fear you will have to go a good bit lower to see it sold 8)
Hope you prove me wrong

Lovely looking coupe but agree with the above. You may need to reduce the price by an amount to shift it given the condition and what needs to be done. Good luck

8k seems fair to me- small jobs and it will be a desirable spec- csl, nice interior and exterior combo etc. GLWTS

Ill see how it goes at 8k.
An oil change and some new feont bushs isnt much.

I imagine you had a harder time selling yours mr wilks because it was an auto...in my eyes less desirable and also cheaper from what I can see on autotrader.

At 8k I think its the cheapest on autotrader which isnt a cat d

Next one being at 9.1k "priced to sell" but it is less miles and with satnav (an auto though)

Had a fair bit of interest/ offers on mine (2006 on 93k ) & eventually sold it within a month for almost what i paid 12months before so even factoring in what i spent to maintain i was happy with that .
I don,t think it will be the mileage that' put's buyers off yours as much as the jobs that need doing
if it were for sale at £8k on 2008 in 1st class order then i think you would get interest . The list of jobs would certainly put me off as it shouts "unloved" car to someone who does not know you
The gear box i also think is not a + or - as a buyer will usually prefer one or the other & only look for that specific .

From the pics it looks a lovely Z, a few bits to sort but lovely non the less, the handbrake lever made me smile, looks a bit phalic in the 2nd pic, just my mind :D

Good luck

Yeh, I might get a quote for an oil service and bushes changed (I dont think it needs them changing yet though...it was only motd 3k miles ago and it was just an advisory)

Problem is im very low on money and in super saving mode...car insurance on the z4 expired 2 days ago and I havent renewed

turns out I am insured as admiral have automatically renewed my insurance :headbang:

I wasn't aware they did this. (only been driving 2 years)

I think you have up to 14 days to cancel the auto insurance renewal, I did this recently with mine when I went with another company and forgot to cancel with Swift Sure 8)

I phoned up and I said I couldn't afford the renewal and they decreased my premium from around 850 to 721, so I accepted it
I think when I sell my zed i'll buy a honda CRZ or something.

First thing I do when I get the renewal through is to call and tell them specific not to auto-renew - and I write a note of the time, date & 'advisor' I've spoken to so that they can trace the call when they claim I've not called.

This is the advisory items on the mot
What do people make of it?? Need replacing or not?? It is just an advisory.

£7,430

if the 2 sets of keys can include the plastic wallet on.

if not then its 7,109 because the car only came with 1 main key and the plastic one.

but I can redeem the remainder of the road tax, so that's like £140 or more

they then charge you £75 admin fee if you sell it to them ... haha ridiculous.

Maybe I should charge an admin fee to the buyer of my car  :headbang:

An advisory like that is a heads-up that something needs to be kept an eye on, TBH individual testers have their own pet advisory and standards and some are ridiculous, I've certainly seen cars with the same trivial advisory repeated three years running. Any 5 year old bushes will have SOME sign of deterioration but if they are not sloppy they are fine, the problem is a buyer may not see it that way once it's on the certificate :headbang:

If the place is close by then make the appointment at the top price & the car should win them over in the metal .
Its not unknown to scrape a better deal from them at point of sale & you are not compelled to accept any offer by booking online

PS / not that its relevant to the selling price but didn't you pay sub £8k for the car  ?

Yeah but Ive also spent a fair bit on it and a ridiculous amount of time.

I wish I had just refurbed the drivers bolster and bought new car mats instead of doing like 100 hours work on it and spending a buttload changing the entire colour of the interior
